Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

cldnt tell mabe becuze the pics are sideways. I think the darker one (right side) looks better. Is the saloon the one on Stockport road?

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

I rotated the photos and your left eye definitely looks better... the whole side does.

The right eye is too dark and heavy... the other side brings more life to your face.

I'm not sure about the black blending though, I think it could look better with a dark purple(like mac beauty marked) and less black for smouldering it up.

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

i agree ^ i like your left eye. your right eye looks like its swollen because of all the black makeup tbh :/ really dark makeup and too much black. you definitely need more colour though!

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

Looking good SuperGirl. Agree with both Stoppit and cupcake, it is too dark/black also more blending is needed. When is the wedding?

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

supergirl! could you plz post the photo again. i was thinking of using her and it would be really helpful for me to see what she did on the trial. plzzzzzzzz!!

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

Sorry, i didnt realise they were sideways! Thanks for the feedback ladies and yes it is very dark which is sort of what i asked for but yeah i probably prefer the slightly lighter one on the right.

It's like tranny makeup :s

The eyelashes are veryyyy heavy on the left one which makes it drag i reckon...

Yes, its lady off Stockport Road…she does a very pakistani look like with the contouring etc, i would recommend her because she listened to what and worked with it.

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

Lol… if you feel it’s kinda ‘tranny’ then tell her to go easy on the contouring. Contouring should be subtle to play up your natural features or make flaws less obvious.

Other stuff if it will help - the eyebrows look filled in? Which is what you want but she’s gone overboard. It needs a light hand and building up to look natural.

Lashes - If you want something that will play up your eyes without looking heavy or fake, buy some Revlon Fantasy Lengths (can buy a few different kinds - defining, intensifying) and try them out. You may have to go a bit easier on the heavy/darkness of the eyeshadows if the lashes aren’t so strong though.

I guess it depends if you want ‘heavy’ makeup in all senses or if you want to look more like yourself.

Ye you are right Stoppit, the eyebrows are also heavy, think i might have another trial with a lady with similar work and compare.

Re: Makeup Artists in UK [all threads merged]

Hello everyone,

This thread is really useful :) I've just joined the forum - I'm getting married in Dec and have zero experience in weddings!!

I'm looking for some advice on MUAs in Birmingham. Has anyone had any experience with them? I've googled a few and Sadia Akram looks pretty good but charges £400 :/ I don't mind paying that as long as the make up is of a high standard. I don't really want anyone based outside of the Midlands because they're all quoting me £150 minimum (one way) for travel!

Any help would be appreciated, thank youu xx
