Yup…you read it right. It’s the Make Your Own Joke Competition. And it couldn’t get any simpler. All you have to do is submit an original joke (more than 1 is fine). Make sure it is original. And make sure it’s funny. It can be an anecdote as well. Whatever you decide to do, just follow these rules:
It can’t make fun of any ethnicity. What it means is no sikh, pathan, punjabi, etc etc jokes.
If you do decide to make the joke revolve around a guppy, he/she better be your friend. You can not pick on the guppy because you feel like it. If I feel that that is what the situation is, you are immediately disqualified.
Joke shouldn’t be of such nature that the discussion following it has to move to General/Religion/World/Pak Affairs.

How is your joke going to be picked? Simple. By a panel of judges, and you!
Basically, what is going to happen is that 2 anonymus judges besides me are going to be rating each joke. At the same time, you guys will be rating the jokes yourselves. In the end, the judges’ votes, plus the guppies votes will be tallied, and the winner will be declared. All of this will happen after the due date of the submission of the jokes. You will have 1 month to submit your jokes once the competition starts.

for those who can think one up in a jiffy (like you ) it probably is. but maybe not for others. also i think it gives a lot of people plenty of time to come up with something. but you do raise a good point. i’ll think about.
How about like maybe a week for this thread (so others can read, ask questions etc) and then like 10 days to submit their jokes? 2+ weeks in total (from today).
