Make Up

Re: Make Up

So what's a good, everyday foundation to use? Currently I use Lancome Powder, I think the color is too light for me (Matte Buff II) because I'll put on a lil bit and its fine, but wheN i put alot of it on, it shows in the pictures and looks really bad!

Re: Make Up

I find Lancome product is pretty light product which is for white people, if you like Lancome go for dark shade, which most people think its for black people, dark shades also suits the Asian skin. depending on the colour of your skin.
Everyday use either wet/dry or blot powder is good, first its always good to moisture you face properly then use the powder. I find MAC and SKIN-LOGIC is very good, which is very natural looking.

Re: Make Up

Yes jamila you are right. Studio Tech is alot heavier than Studio Fix.

Re: Make Up

Why don't you try bare minerals, or you can use a tinted moisturizer.

MAC tends to clog your pores since most of the foundations are pretty heavy..

I don't really use foundation on a daily basis, you start developing a habit and then won't feel like leaving the house without out it!

I think the natural look is great..

Another wet/dry compact that is nice - LORAC its very natural, I have used it before and doesn't clog the face.

Re: Make Up

Agree !!!
don't make a habit of using foundation daily.......
i use it on special ocassions

Re: Make Up

I use sheer cover..its mineral makeup and it really is the best. I have been using it for 4 years now and i cant live without it. It gives perfect even coverage, without looking caked or unnatural. You get a glow with it and its ever so light and good to your skin. I used to break out a lot but i just get the odd pimple here and there now so its really helped with that too. I would def recommend that.

Re: Make Up

Its true dont make the habit of using the foundation, only if on you need them (that's if you don't have a good skin) which some people do and they do need them everyday in order to get a good coverage for their face. otherwise they look awaful.

Re: Make Up

Who doesn't want to look natural. anyone with good skin can only use lip-gloos and still good with any makeup.

Re: Make Up

Sheer cover is the name of the foundation or is it a brand?

Re: Make Up

I don't think its any brand, its a foundation, it more like a loose powder, some brand has a pancake like powder (solid & not loose). maybe that's what seashell ment (just my thoughts)

Re: Make Up

its both, here's their website www.sheercover.com check it out .

Re: Make Up

^ Thanks :)

Re: Make Up

I know about different brands, i also know the difference between cake/creme and loose powder foundations i am not that bad at makeup now nor that ignorant about it hehe....but i never heard about this one thats why i asked :)

Re: Make Up

Before sheercover used to known as a loose powder not a brand, this must be something new, I didn't mean to offen you by say you didn't know about makeup, but people become an expert by practicing or playing with colours.
This thread is kind of a gupshup form so we can exchanges ideas with each other what say? teelobhain??????????

Re: Make Up

^ I wasn't offended at all my dear, i was being sarcastic by saying that maybe because i opened this thread people think i dont know anything about makeup but i do, but i just dont know why because of my foundations my natural makeup doesnt look so natural :(
anyways yes this forum is to share ideas and suggestions/ opinions thats why i posted this thread as well so that people could help me out...

Re: Make Up

Its good to know atleast we can share ideas/suggestions and opinions, as for the foundations just make sure you get your skin tone colour also apply some moisture before foundation application.
Everyone gets more ideas from learning from people by exchanging one another experiences.
