So friends were over at my place today and we where discussing all this money we throw away on cosmetics !

We started discussing the products that we regret buying … and that kind of got me thinking… it does say alot about a certain product, though it may all depend on skin type and etc etc ..

so which product do you regret buying? :hmmm:

I regret buying Bare Minerals, MAC powder/foundation, MUFE powder/foundation and so many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto about the Bare Minerals. There was so much hype about it and I purchased the starter kit. It didn't do anything for me at all. The color did not suit my complexion, i looked chalky. And it didn't give me that great coverage. I actually found it more time consuming to apply the bare minerals product....the powders can be messy. So, I just returned it.

Aisha, the Bare Minerals products are so annoying! I also purchased the starter kit and the first day I used it was awesome. Loved it but over time I noticed it starts to settle in places and all of a sudden you look like a mannequin! Yuck!

MAC's studio fix foundation- made me look like a ghost even though the colour looked perfect in the store.

LOL I have just started doing that and for that reason alone only love to shop at sephora because of their no question return policy.

I bought a strivectin cream for $130 and have used half of it with no results. I do wanna return it since it was a waste of money but I feel bad...

cargo powder and clinique mascara.. the powder made me look so fake and not very natural.. mascara was pointless.. made no diff with the lashes.

its so freaking difficult to return things here in the UK … they say its easy but i dunno, I always find it so hard to return things … specially superdrug and MAC :no:

I've had no issue returning things in the UK.

I bought MAC Studio Fix foundation in a shade recommended to me in the Westfield store and it was too orange. I exchanged it for the correct shade at another MAC store without a receipt. I doubt I would have gotten a refund without a receipt though.

Have just returned a NARS toner which made my skin peel. Did that in Selfridges but I had the receipt.

Have also returned stuff in Boots that's irritated my skin.

Just keep the receipt and try and go back as soon as you can. They'll usually ask for the packaging, just tell them politely that you don't have it, as most normal people will tend to throw that away as soon as they open a product.

Wrt products I've regretted buying, most of them tend to be impulse beauty buys bought when I've been out clothes shopping and haven't been able to find any new items of clothing to buy.

Most recently has been a NARS mutliple in orgasm, (I have the powder blush and that's great, but this seems to shimmery).
