I usually skip foundation and use strobe after my moisturiser followed by eyeliner and blush (im not a fan of lipstick!)
Mall, I doubt they'll give u any samples of it..but u can try it on. It'll be over u're foundation though but it's worth trying out! I love it! It reflects light and makes u're skin look radiant!

The list is partially my fault too, I did offer if she needed anything, although I wasn't expecting that much..kher I've learnt my lesson,the hard way though..it's just that I wouldn't ask for favours even if I was offered any..people sure have guts..
Anyway I'll get some stuff, leave some and plan to politely explain the cost issue as many of you have suggested..

instead of buying "face shining stuff" just buy any illuminating foundation...try tarte...or any other brand in sephora..

Oh someone gave me this highlighter/shiner whatever people are talking about here...Gina can you tell me if i can use it without foundation on? or before foundation or after? i really want to use it but i am always scared to try out stuff since i have a very oily skin and i look dark after some time..

Strobe Cream is a product created by MAC cosmetics. Some Macy's stores have a MAC makeup counter. However if a Macy's does not have a MAC counter, then you'll have to go elsewhere. Sephora DOES NOT carry MAC products.
Here's what you do. Type in the name of your local malls in internet search box. You should get a website for each mall containing a directory which lists ALL the stores in the mall and their phone numbers. SO just dial the phone number for the Macy's store at the various malls and ask if they sell MAC products and specifically the Strobe cream. This will save you time and driving gas!

Ooops, I misunderstood your previous post. You can go to the other makeup counters at Macy's and ask if they have an illuminator product that gives skin a dewy glow. OR what you can do is ask one of the sales representatives at Macy's "Do you know of the next nearest Macy's that also carries MAC products? Or do you know of a mall that has a MAC store?" In my experience, they are usually nice enough to refer to the appropriate place.

That’s new. Everytime I have gotten makeup done from mac, they have always applied it before foundation to keep the skin hydrated and for foundation to settle down better. Post foundation, they usually just use powder or light shiner if they need to.

another reason of askign for so much branded stuff is that all these brands are easily available there.... (they may not be real and are just fake) but I did see Dior, mac, lancome, estee lauder ... every single brand i could think of in those cosmetic shops in lahore and around that... and few times I asked the prices and they were cheaper then here in USA.
and I thought that was one of the reason people didnt hesitate to ask for thsi stuff... they kind of knwo the prices but dont know that in usa its much more expensive.....

Teelo, I use it before foundation and even if I skip foundation I still use it :) if my face gets oily I just blot it with pressed or loose powder.

Question for strobe cream users and Guru Gina:
Is it okay to mix it with other things like sunscreen or foundation? Is this like a primer? Would the effect go away if I used it with something else?
U can mix it with a tinted sunscreen.. but that dilutes it's effect. I use it after applying my moisturiser it gives u're face a youthful glow! U may mix it with u're foundation as well.. but i'd use it before! So u don't have any blotchy patches!
