I don't understand why women are saying that if it indeed was an order then they'd prostrate before men. Well, my answer is simple, I believe in one God and if the religion of Islam ordered me to prostrate before a human then it would contradict the WHOLE concept of our religion and if that was the case then I would not be following this religion, PERIOD! I know that it's in the Bible(old testament) which clearly orders women to prostrate before men and I obviously don't believe in it so it would be pointless to ask if I'll do it if Islam ordered it to me!
You have a very wrong concept of the religion of Islam. To prostrate before Allah is not the respect of Allah's oneness, to follow his orders is the respect of Allah’s oneness. When Allah ordered Angles to bow in front of Adam, the one who refused (with pretty much the same reason that is given in your post) is now called Satan. Religion is about following orders, not about pick and chose.
