Religion aside, if you are nice to your spouse, meaning you aren't disrespectful (in other words, you don't swear, you don't hit, you don't make filthy comparisons, you aren't cruel), you mostlikely won't have any issues. Your wife will probably go out of her way to make you happy if she sees you are a nice and caring person.
