First of all, hadeeth is an authentic hadeeth. I did not take anything out of the context. It was a simple question but sadly some people instead of giving a simple answer, going to the extent of questioning the authenticity of hadeeth. Ironically, these are the same people who cant even recite 5 suras properly but now are trying to tell us what is in the Quran and what is not.

I admire the courage of those ladies who said that if it was indeed an order, we would have followed it. Great answer in my humble opinion. I guess that there are men out there who would have done the same thing to their wives or mothers if it was an order.

With a fear of turning this thread into religious thread, and with hesitation, I want to point out that Prophet would never throw out statements just for the heck of it. He was not a GS member with 2000 posts and a weird nick who does not care what to say when. He knew what he was saying and implications of it for the rest of mankind. You guys are more than welcome to make fun of me or anyone. Please be respectful towards the word of Prophet Mohammed.

And no, I did not twist his word. Its up to you find what meaning you want out of his word. To me, it just shows the respect a husband deserves from his wife. That is it.

Namaan, I am impressed by your conclusions. I agree with you 100%. Thanks

why not???
did allah ever promise some thing about keeping bukhari as real as quran???
I assume u know Allah did promise to protect quran?
