The hadeeth does not order women to bow in front of anyone human.
Secondly, it serves a metaphor if nothing else. There are countless counter-hadith's that describe what a truly good husband should be for his wife and I don't see anyone implementing that.
I have serious doubts about many hadeeth's in the collections that are dubbed to be authentic. This is just another one. I doubt the Prophet would have made any such statement, as his life exemplifies how he was very devoted and in service to his wives and gave them much power in the relationship.
PCG, the hadeeth is an authentic one, although what MK quoted is only the last part of that hadeeth, That part does no imply that a woman should sajda karo her hubby, that part actually implies that no one is allowed to sajda karo any human bieng, period.
