We haven’t subscribed to Geo at home but we were getting free view for a while this evening so I caught a glimpse of the recorded episode of Utho Jago Pakistan that must have been aired live this morning? It was about maids and basically how evil they are. Just 5 minutes later, I was fuming with anger!! I’m so disgusted, I can’t even find the words to express how shocked and disappointed I am. The way they spoke about “maasis” … ughhhh I could’ve killed the host!! At one point, she was like “Aap mein se kabhi kisi ko kut pari hai?” And one of the maids was like yeah I got burned with a rod. And instead of condemning the abuse, the retard was like why, what did you do that they punished you and the maid was like well begum sahiba went out shopping with another guy and I told her husband when he asked me where she was. And the host was like “Tumhein kaise pata wo kisi or k sath shopping pe gai thi, tum unke sath to nai gai thi na, khud he andaza laga liya, aise toh kam hotay hain tum logon k, tumhein bilkul thek jalaya, mein hoti to pura petrol chirak k aag laga deti”… WHAT THE WHAT???
And then one of the stupid guests was like tum log hamare miyan k samne kyun tayar hoti ho? Like wth??? God I’m so mad at these people!! I pity those who work for retards like these! I could go on, the whole thing is sickening, have a look!
there are some good maids and some very bad maids as well. the program is carried on so badly that it does not highlight the value of hiring good domestic help vs bad helpers
But I have never liked these kind of shows. Whenever I have caught a glimpse of these shows they are either laughing forcibly or they are dancing.
These people have lost connection with reality. They live in their bubbles where everything is so called glitter and glamour. There is no one who sets them straight or tells them off, and that is why they continue being the snobby rude airheads that they are.
People will like them anyways because they are famous and rich, so what do they have to lose.
Javeria Saud is a terrible host. I just saw a bit of the show yesterday and I was appalled . Especially at the way Javeria kept bragging about having two maids ; one for her daughter and one for general work.. The way they presented maids as being low and worthless cracking jokes and what not. Very insensitive
By the way what has happened yo Shaista ? why is Javeria hosting ?
Do the Lodhis still have anything to do with this show? Javeria is the new host, not Shaista. Such a jahil aurat, this Javeria! The way she kept saying “shush” to her guests too like “Mein baat kar rahi hun, mujhe baat karne dein”.

Javeria has no manners. It seems like acting like jaahils in Yeh Zindagi Hai for so long has actually turned her into one big jaahil. As they say money can't buy taste, money can't buy class. Just cuz you have money and can afford a few maids doesn't make you a decent human being. I can't believe they actually aired this show with her comment about burning the maid with petrol. It really shows that our values are going downhill and I can't believe people just didn't get up and start walking out of the show at that point.

So are there going to be any consequences for Javeria Saud for spewing this jahaalat on her show? I checked her facebook page and Utho jaago Pakistan official page and there is no mention of this show by any of the fans. I cannot believe that there is no outrage in response to the crap that came out of her mouth on the show. Paula Deen was dropped by Food Network and made a mockery of all over the media because she used the N word once upon a time for her wait staff. Yet in Pakistan, you can literally threaten to set someone on fire on television and get away with it?!
There was another morning show about maids a year or so ago. It was either Nadia Khan's or Nida Nawaz's show (cant remember, they all look and sound the same to me)...but it was a tad more intelligent than this one and it talked about all aspects of having a maid - the good, the bad and the ugly (i.e. child labor).
Yup, she pretty much got away with it and that’s what’s more sickening because it goes to show that this jahalat isn’t just confined to her. Is it really the norm in Pakistan to insult and abuse maids and servants and treat them like inferior human beings? The studio audience were actually clapping when she made the petrol comment!!
I was going to say let’s all send in our complaints to Geo but that’s probably not going to do any good. If they had some bheja, they wouldn’t have aired it in the first place.
