When the barat was coming and they showed the guests there are two ladies wearing the same off whitish dress but the style was of todays fashion not back then so they got that wrong.

That's what I thought too. Even today cheek kissing is a very urban gesture with the good old 'japha' used in the villages for greeting and farewell.
Having said that I am quite confused by Kheelus characterisation. His moods, tantrums and general demeanour is like those of a five year old. Even if one were to attribute it all to the characters youth and 'laubalipann' and not sloppy writing they could at least have cast younger actors who looked the part. After all if Maqsood is still a couple of years from his medical degree and Kheelu is 6 years younger to him he couldn't be more than 16 or 17, unless Maqsood is your proverbial Dr. 'tankanna'

Mahira Khan has improved a lot. But the guy playing Khalil needs to loosen up a bit. He's too stiff.
It's unfair to compare this play with Dastaan or Durr e shehwar. They were epic. Haissam Hussain is in a different league of directors. Every single little bit of his play is attention to detail. You've to be a perfectionist to reach his level of creativity and technical finesse.

I watched a few scenes from the last episode and thought the acting was wooden and the scenes slow-paced. The story looks predictable, which is a shame.

^^ heyna. OMG it was like my childhood days in Pakistan.
We'd visit almost every summer and stay for 3 plus months.
My cousins and I would roam around the chuht just like that.
I actually balled my eyes out at the houses, the charpayi, the crazy aunties dancing.
like someone bottled up my childhood and sent it to me to watch.
Mahira is slightly old for the role tho.
The dude is hot...gives off a lalloo vibe? Or perhaps thats the intention?

Someone sent me the link for the OST for the drama.I liked it and watched some clips of the drama and then all the episodes.And I have started to love it.I actually look forward to a new episode every week.I just love the overall non-glamorous feel of the drama.Though the hero seems to have some trouble acting,but he is slowly growing on me and so is Mahira (not a huge fan of hers) .I feel they both have a very good chemistry on screen and their love is kinda so palpable.
I convinced my sister to watch an episode too.First episode she saw and said she cannot stand Mahira with 'dou chootiyaan'.By third episode she is totally hooked too...:D
