That’s what I thought too. Even today cheek kissing is a very urban gesture with the good old ‘japha’ used in the villages for greeting and farewell.
Having said that I am quite confused by Kheelus characterisation. His moods, tantrums and general demeanour is like those of a five year old. Even if one were to attribute it all to the characters youth and ‘laubalipann’ and not sloppy writing they could at least have cast younger actors who looked the part. After all if Maqsood is still a couple of years from his medical degree and Kheelu is 6 years younger to him he couldn’t be more than 16 or 17, unless Maqsood is your proverbial Dr. ‘tankanna’
