After spending considerable time in Rajasthan for daughter Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming film Dhoka, and also in France due to the death of his spiritual guru U G Krishnamurty, Mahesh Bhatt is back to doing what he does best. He is planning a film on the death of Bob Woolmer, the erstwhile coach of Pakistan cricket team.
Though Bhatt is hesitant in divulging any information about the film as it is in its initial stages, he says the film will be directed by first-timer Kunal Deshmukh and will star Emraan Hashmi.
He added that the film will not be fully based on Woolmer but will incorporate certain events from his life. Bhatt also said the shooting of the film will start in the first week of July. The first schedule will take place in London.
Incidentally, Deshmukh had assisted director Mohit Suri for films like Zeher, Kalyug and Woh Lamhe.
This is not the first time the Bhatts have borrowed from real life. Their earlier film Gangster was apparently inspired from the life of gangster Abu Salem, while Woh Lamhe was inspired from Bhatt’s affair with late actress Parveen Babi.
bob woolmer will die diving in front of M S Dhoni taking all five bullets on his chest, one of which is fired by inzimam, 4 by ISI. With his dying breath Woolmer will express regret to all Indians for coaching Pakistan, and will wanly hope that maybe now they'll forgive him. Dhoni fights off inzimam and ISI people then dances with Aishwaria for 15 minutes while the credits roll.
Actually...if you think about it, Bob Woolmer's saga makes for a great who-dun-it thriller. I don't know how Mahesh Bhatt would give it a desi spin....but the mysterious death of a Sports Coach in the aftermath of the upset defeat of his team has an Hollywood movie plot written all over it.
meera might play a major role also, with atif singing the hook for the movie. at the end of the day we all know that the extremist in the ISI killed woolmer because he failed to accept Islam!
During the movie we will also find out that Younis Khan and Shahif Afridi are infact brothers, separated at birth as their parents are split up as they ran for cover to avoid Russian missiles during the soviet invasion of Afganistan.
The storyline as to how they recognise each other as brothers is still being written, and how it can be incorporated in the movie as they are being interogated by the Jamaican police.

slight modification. it is infact Shahid Afridi and Irfan Pathan who are brothers, thus proving once and for all that Irfan Pathan is actually pashtun. Also Afridi is raised by ISI agents in Karachi and is therefore very evil and hits sixes against Harbajan Singh while Irfan takes hat-trick in every match. But then Irfan Pathan sings that song. After that Shahid Afridi gets out on the first ball and promises never to hit Harbajhan or any indian for six again unless it is one of the new fast bowlers who have caused Irfan Pathan to lose his place (they are also ISI agents).
