Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

Re: Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

Extremism is not just breeding around the world because of lack of education. Its also lack of economic opportunity. You starve a man, and mark my words, only 2 things can happen: he withers away in depression, or he lashes out in anger.

It doesn't have much to do with religion. They don't commit suicide for 72 virgins, I think. I think they do it because it makes them feel less guilty about acts they know are wrong.

You need to take care of your people. Pakistan and many other governments have failed to do that. The individual freedom, and the economic freedom people get in Western countries is NOTHING like the lifestyle you see in places like remote areas in Pakistan. Its not that they're ignorant. They just don't have the means to do what they'd like.

Re: Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

Completely agree with you.

Re: Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

They showed a documentary as to how some well established madrassas have started that in Pakistan. The graduates from the madrassa are equiped with computer skills and other technical gadgets. Granted this madrassa appeared to have more student that were actually paying their way through. So it was private i think. But such madrassas are a rare thing. Mostly its your run of the mill maulvi sahab who is not even himself educated properly shooting off at tangents.

Re: Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

So, really if you have madrassas that are teaching religion + worldly education of some sort - how is that different from a regular school? Why call them "madrassas" and make it sound as if its so different?

Re: Madrassa Graduates in Pakistan

^nope, because in regular school you have regular islamiyat. In madrassas the religious certificates ones you have arabic language, fiqh and shariah, specialisation in hadith or some Quranic surah. A thesis as well for some courses. It requires alot of time and hardwork, you can't do your normal school work along with it. You grab for the most important bits.
