Lucknowi accent?
[/QUOTE]

It is not about the accent, it could be lukhnawai, dehli, karachi, lahore..whatever..but the proper delivery.

it is the speed of speech, the delivery, and the tones.

nasal voiced guys from jehlum butchering urdu, are just as bad as lalukhaitya's in karaachi..

its not just in the streets, watch Television shows..espcially when they interview people on the street, people speak in such jahilana andaaz that it is a major turn off rigth away.

Embrace the diversity, darlings. It keeps life interesting.

If someone wishes to speak punjabi, baluchi, sindhi, pushtu when communicating with his family or friends, that would result in a weaker Pakistan? yeah right...

Such pathetic attempts to unify Pakistan would only backfire, remember how miserable the attempts to force Urdu upon the people of Bengal were? Urdu is already the national language of Pakistan, be happy with that; any attempt to destroy regional languages would only result in the destruction of Urdu.

More like grow up darlings.

Don’t force your tongue down my throat.

CM, you calling Matsui a racist is like David Duke calling Mother Teresa a racist. When you grow up a bit and are gainfully employed, you will know better.

Roman unlike other people i am working travelling and trying to over come jet lag from 3 different time zones. So stuff it.

Matsui assumption is the mother of all fact ups. Dont be one.

Just to make a point. What medic pointed out in a "racist" context has been reality for a good 2 centuries. Take a look at Creole. That is not the language spoken in any of the former French colonies. Rather it is a new language created by the people. A mixture of french and the domestic languages. Heck Creole in the West Indies is not the same as the one spoken in east africa.

English in the world is another example where a language is over-riding domestic tongues.

Romanish in Switzerland barely exists giving way to Swiss German.

Thousands of african dialects and languages have been lost to both colonizers and other reasons.

Languages die or evolve. Its the way of things.

Now Medic can do whatever he wants.

Cm, as I mentioned somewhere before, putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t make it Julia Roberts. But you do look pretty sometimes.

regional languages in Pakistan have been around before teh french or the swiss or the germans or the slaves in haiti were a glimmer in their ancestors’ eyes. The history enjoyed by Pakistan rivals most of the oldest civilizations in the world. It is this diversity that makes Pakistan unique, not the fact that urdu should be spoken.

Maddy’s comment was about “death of regional languages to establish the primacy of urdu”. If tomorrow the UK gov’t says no literature, songs, conversation in urdu is allowed for the sake of homogenaeity, would Maddy agree or put up a thread calling them racists. that chanda is the basic issue…

Listen, I like you :flower1: but sometimes you make me sooooo mad, na! come here ya little monkey..
