my mother bought me a mac powder. it’s a bit darker than my skin shade but it actually is really useful if you are doing slightly heavier bridal/party make-up. I use a base that matches my skin (prescriptives) and the mac powder along my cheek and beneath my chin to highlight/contour. makes the skin look really smooth and then if you want to use blush, the blush looks more natural over the slightly darker powder.
