It takes time to develop the ability to play under immense pressure on International level. Not every player is capable of doing that. Even a class and aggressive batsman like Tendulkar fails under too much pressure. Give some time to this kid, he is good at hitting and playing intellegently. Look at Razzaq, in last two years he (otherwise the killer of the ball) has learnt to change gears at will. Test matches or ODI, he now plays according to the situation and surprises opponents with his unknown temprament and then sudden onslaught. He also shows his best (like Dravid and Inzi) under great pressure. So time will teach the youngsters as well. It could be a temporary bad patch as well.

Lets see.. at the end of the ODI’s I’ll be back but im afraid u might have to hide. read the topic (DHONI PROVED HIMSELF). HE HAS NOT PROVED HIMSELF. I was bashing him in the Pak Ind series as well, only because i disagree with the point that Dhoni is a proven player like this topic name suggests…

come on buddy move on, in life, there is another thread where people are clearly saying that he needs to prove himself.

dhoni has no real technique to batting....
sooner or later he had to face such a position where opponents will discover his weaknesses, and being technically zero, he will never be able to cope with those and eventually shall be shown the EXIT door by the selectors....
i think he has already started taking the walk....

so now u will start this kind of windowing to make him look better.. i am sure no. of test in this sample must not be more than two .. wait let me check its just one match as I suspected:-) so this is the new tactics to defend the indefenisble
again for one day sample size is 7 match :-)).. ironically even in matches where he appraently hit mcgrath all over park pak ended up losing so there u go

As far as ODI are concerned, he has improved tremendously as seen from his stats, if you can’t swallow it too bad, it could choke u :p, he has played against Australia only 7 ODIs in last three years

dude in his whole career his average against aussie is 16 and then u came up with rebuttal that in last 2 years it is 29 (which meant the last test he played against them it was 29) so who is kidding whom here....... shoudl i take the last test as the yardstick or his total career average which is 16 and dare i say even numerous tailenders have this kind of average .. so once again what were u gloating over............

bt I shouted based on his career average against ausie which is 16 and you shouted based on hsi one match average ( I am not sure whether u shoudl be calling it average anyway)........ so who is being cheeky me or you........
any player who gets to playjust 24 test in close to more than 10 years in business has to be pi$$ poor perfromer and his stats suggests exactly that......

dude, there is no difference per se when it is a one-off or 2-off Test stat. You are saying as if I focussed on last Test match out of 14 or 50 failures, there were just 2 so those stats shouldn't really be "looked at" for "stats".

he has played total of 23 tests in ten years ( there are close to 10 test playign nations so chaces are he won;t have played many tests against any of the nations) for anyone else with 23 test people would say it's too early to pass anyjudgement so let us lave his test stat at that .. for me if u play 24 test in 10 years u have got to be poor cricketer otherwise I don't see any reason for him not to be played...................

he has played enough odis though and let me see against aussie how he fares.. oke so over-all it's 23 and against aussie 16 odd so what was the gloating point again...........This last v-b series he came up with couple of quick 50's in losing cause sand that makes him what messiha of batting.......
give me a break dude I have never seen such a mediocre performer being worshipped like this ever....... he is just an entertainer who hits boom boom here and therre and that's it...........his feats is worth gloating when u are listing who hits biggest six but as a batsman he has hardly anything to show

dhoni averages 50+ after 35 odis and that's no easy task... give the guy some credit... when aussie come he will cross that bridge too....

if you insist on "lookint at stats" then you should be aware of the famous saying "stats are like bikini, they reveal a lot but a hide a lot" (or something to that effect)
