I do hope you realise that a ODI is an ODI and nothing else, whichever team and its players performs on that particular day are going to win.

Previous records and future predictions count zilch, and In my book when he COMPREHENSIVELY kicked your Behind TODAY, for me he was the match winner.

Forget me, His Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, called Dhoni the Architect of India's win.

So you think I really give a Sh1t about your so called ARGUMENT???

my argument is just constructive. all i am trying to say is dhoni has not proven himself.. he was a match winner today, sure. I dont have anything personal against you, so relaxx.. all i am saying is that Dhoni has not proved himself yet he needs to prove himself a bit more for him to be regarded as a match winner, that is all i was saying. he was today's match winner no DOUBT.

DHONI exposed Pakistan's poor bowling down the stretch. Had Pakistan bowled somewhat better, disciplined even, DHONI would not have been able to do anything about it. On the other hand, someo ne like Yuvraj who was at the other end of the crease is a type of player that can expose any bowler, regardless of how he is bowling.

I agree. Dhoni hasn't yet learnt the art of batting on helpful tracks when the ball is moving and/or bouncing. Till he does that, he is just one of those subcontinental heros who enjoy flat pitches, similar to Mr. Afridi. However, the good thing about Dhoni that I have seen in the past year is his cool head. He plays differently depending on the match situation. That gives me hope ....

I agree. He has a cool head.

In regards to his other innings, he has had a few good matches. ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT HE HAS STILL NOT PROVED HIMSELF YET. A few matches does not do it. Do it consistently and do it also when you play against world powers like AUS AND SAFRICA on their pitches, and thats when DHONI will be regarded as a great player

Now, on Dhoni... guys he has played Vaas, Asif wasn't bad yesterday, he has played Shoaib in tests... He has proved his worth everytime he has come to bat, I may agree that he still can't be said great... though match winner in One Dayers, yes... he is a match winner in Onedayers.. as much as or more than anybody who has made 1000 runs in international cricket...

What I have heard that Parthiv has really improved his keeping and he scored runs in loads in Ranji, which Karthik didn't... hence patel is right second choice as of now........

But he failed in Karachi, where pitch wasn't flat. I was more disappointed by his mode of dismissals in that test. There was movement and he needed to leave some balls, but he won't......

Everybody fails once in a while.......... overall average matters, and ofcourse going forward his average against Australia and SA will matter....
The point was that Pakistan bowling attack isn't any less and he has scored against them, look at how same SL team is playing against Auzy... same bowlers......
Though yes, Dhoni has long way to go before being even compared to Gilly..

Hats off to Dhoni, he played his natural game under pressure. That is something our more experienced power hitters like Razzaq and Afridi have yet to learn. Hell, even Moyo panics.

Give it a rest Kiddo... Looks like you are still hurt by Dhoni's batting in that 4-1 win. You got first opportunity to bash him and jumped on it. Give it a rest. He didnot do any bad as batsman compared to other Indian batters.
I bet you wont show your face here when he kicks some gora buts in ODIs.
