Come one, Come all. After considerable amount of thought, I have decided to create an organization that will take what is rightfully ours. Yes, I have decided to create an organization called “Muslims Against Terrorism” or M. A. T.
Main agenda is
spread the word that terrorism is not part of Islam. Denounce it, condemn it, speak out against it vociferously and often.
Educate our own to real Islam. An Islam that teaches compassion and tolerance.
Reform our actions so we can be the example of true Islam.
Practice tolerance, patience and forgiveness.
This list is not inclusive, I welcome feedback and suggestions from fellow guppies. Notice, I said guppies, not just Muslims.
Lets make Irshad Manji the CEO of this MAT organization. I'll volunteer to be the CFO and CIO, so open up the coffers, pass the basket and start filling it up.
Can non-muslims like me and Madhanee be a voice of Islam? and I am disappointed at Irshad Manji's de-selection. We are starting of on the wrong foot. She will be an excellent voice....oh wait ..... wahabis no like girlie in powah.. me so sirry..:D
okay, i not only feel like issuing a fatwa against this irshad manji, but also that wannabe al-izhar university prof dying to proclaim the manji's bull as nothing but indigestible raw 'truth'.....pata nahin kahan kahan sai aa jatai hain, bet his mind got reeling with a lesob calling herself a 'Muslim" and getting away with it.
Instead of forming yet another organization, you may want to connect with them.
They seem to need some major help since although they have changed the name from Muslims against terrorirm to Muslim voice for peace, their new webpage still has them referring to themselves as M-A-T, things have not been updated and in general it appears that the crew lost interest around mid 2003 as the latest info and announcements seem to be from then.
On a second thought, you may just want to take the name and heck you can even save time and get the webpage designed for them, get a diff url and be in business in no time. here is where their old web page is.
I have the ones that would be needed. Ok I seriously am thinking of going into journalism. The thought is very tempting. Although I wonder if I can write a book. Hmm a book an answer to hers would be mighty interesting to say the least.
