Jus watch a report on aaj tv, Umair jan balouch said that zulfiqar mirza kept quite under the pressure of party,we were wid him web he was with us,we r no more in the party n OP is a result of this...all arms we have we're given by the Ppp so we can keep MQM way from liyari ....there's no such militants here...

Do you expect anyone to give u credible information on this? I do not expect our agencies, govt, media and of course terrorist to give any credible info.
IG police was claiming yesterday that** 90%** of Liyari has been "librated" and clean now
Ummat paper was reporting that police was able to enter into only 5% of Liyari
too much variation in numbers eh?

I don't say that police is truthful but I won't rely on Ummat paper's reporting either. This paper has clear leaning towards Jamat e Islami.

Would there actually be a drop scene? I highly doubt it.
Even if police recover ALL weapons from there (which is impossible), they can still bring in more weapons after a while.
Situation can not improve unless either local Makrani Baloch people stop supporting PAC, or PAC changes its violent policies.

MQM can actually win hearts in Lyari by opposing an operation and instead bring parties to table, act as mediator, but I think MQM is enjoying the 'show' watching from sidelines.

There's confusion in this case as well Rahman Malik is saying the operation has been stopped for 48 hours, CID is saying they haven't got orders to stop the operation, and Zardari is saying that the operations will be carried out in all affected areas across the board.

The 'clear and present danger' is Liyari and this is what everyone is talking about. How does the question of operations in "all affected areas" arise at this point of time? Looks like a safe passage to crimininals is being readied as we aren't good engouh to hunt them down.

Its not easy to carry out operations in densely populated areas, as there are more chances for innocent bystanders being killed in the cross fire. The difference between 1990 and now is that before we used to have PTV which could white wash things, now any tragedy will be highlighted by the media, and secondly the population of the city has doubled. Besides if Lyari is pacified will that solve Karachi's problems? Lyari alone is nothing, a chain of operations will be needed throughout the city which I dont think the government has the will to do so.

well i have a gut feeling that uzair balouch must be rite interms of ppp's govt promises for liyari dident came as true...why whole of liyari is with uzair balouch? is ppp trying to take revenge from liyai ppls/uzair for their disobedience.?
