Im taking biryani today :yummy:

so, like, idk if it’s just my hangup or it’s really considered impolite, but I went to get lunch from a restaurant yesterday. when i came back 1 girl was just STARING at what I got. i mean, normally if you say “oh what’d ya get? THat? cool”, but itna ghaur se dekh ri thi…it was kinda uncomfortable. That happen with anyone?

chicken parmesan on a bed of hand-cut, roasted potatoes
smothered in thick-cut bell peppers, spanish onions and red sauce
sprinkled with parmesan cheese and the chef’s special hot sauce

Smokehouse burger with side of fries . I did not get a chance to go to desi restaurant to replenish my lunch and dinner meals

We are not allowed to have Biryani and Qormay in our office. so, I usually eat dry food like sandwiches (chicken pattie or shami kabab)

Pesto Chicken Breast served on a bed of couscous tossed with egg-plant, bell peppers and red onions.
Topped with red italian sauce and lightly sprinkled with green olives and walnuts.

OMG…this is heaven.

Happen to me few times..my colleague would come to my desk and would stare at my food . I use to feel very uncomfortable.

Sometimes I would bring biryani / pulao from home and when I use to heat it up, they would say smells so good and stare like they never seen food

Yes, I meant the smell of desi food. I don’t find it offensive of course but I can understand if someone else wouldn’t like it because there are certain foods that I can’t stand. I wouldn’t have any hesitation if everyone were bringing something or other and there were diff smells, but everyone goes out to lunch…sometimes ya just don’t wanna stand out.
