lower waist dress pants

what’s up with all these lower waist everything  …i went for shopping today looking to buy some good office dress pants…it was impossible to find something which i would not feel uncomfortable wearing. Girlsss please tell me …where would you find good ones…are u guys comfortable wearing lower waist pants? ..i still remember even till last year, you would be able to find some proper wear. I have few really nice dress pants bought last year…but seems like the trend has changed now…like everyone is wearing these lower waist stuff which i really hate.

ummm...make ur own pants? :D

try the suspender pants from Sears. They would lok cute on a white Gap T shirt.

Jacob
Jacob/Annex
Dynamite
Reitmans (occassionally, I find nice stuff there)

Lately, everything is super tight and extra small including tops. Shopping sucks. I went clothes shopping at Square One a few weeks ago and all I could find were a few decent tops at Chado, Dynamite and Reitmans.

Jacob used to be really good. Lately, a lot of their clothes quality has decreased while their prices have increased; however, you can still find some nice stuff there.

Mehnaz thats where i went myself today...to Square One...i was just able to buy two nice tops from Suzy Shier and thats about it. I have already checked Dynamite, Reitmans, Fairweather, Le Chateau and Suzy Shier. I am going to checkout Jacob as you metioned. I mean really it has become such a pain looking for a decent stuff nowadays.

i love jacobs! suzy shier has good stuff now adayz.. i love their new sweaters and my heart is set on thier winter coat. fair weather was having a sale last time i checked.
reitmans have good stuff sometimes. dynamite, garage. gap ofcourse.

i am actually surprised to see those really low waist pants girls are wearing now adayz .. its wayyyy below their waist.. shows pelvis as well :~S how can they wear such stuff.. they only in their teens :disgust:

With the new skintight styles that are in, I can't even fit into a large without putting everything on display. sigh It sucks.

I found some gorgeous sweaters at, I think it was Smart Set. They had a really good sale ... like 3 sweaters for the price of 2 and the quality was good too. I tried it on and it was so tight and too revealing for my taste.

Pants are quite low too especially in stores like Costa Blanca. Personally, I'm not comfortable in hiphuggers. I have one pair and they always feel like they are falling down, which is the point I guess.

Usually, I'm able to find decent stuff at Dynamite, Chado, Jacob, Jacob/Annex and RW & Company. I don't really like The Gap.

If you want, you can always shop at Banana Republic. Be prepared to pay an arm and leg though. I find their products over priced.

Toronto, isn't very good for cloths shopping if you are looking for variaty, in Toronto I went to few dept. stores, but didn't see anything that I found was worth buying (maybe I went to the wrong stores) but everywhere you'd go you would find the same fashion, it was irriating.

So as now this lowe waist pants and tight fitting cloths are in fashion, every store is getting those. It must really suck!

I'd have to say here we don't have this problem as the stores sell almost every type of fashions.

Oh god...you deprived soul.. canadians never did have fashion sense :o

ive got some low waist jeans n trousers, i find them more comfortable then the other ones..

also in low waisted trousers tummy seems more flatter :D

well i dont see, wat do u find wrong with low waisted stuff?

i wanted to open a similar thread..... how can someone at work actually work when their pants are down their butts showing everything? and ur shirt is so tight u cant breathe?

personally.. i like wearing the pants that just sit on the hips.. or maybe a bit lower.... to solve the problem of falling... wear a nice belt.. (i had to do that with my new pants..... there is hardly any decent cut work pants out there anymore!!)

and shirts.... thats just another story..... u cant get anything these days that wont show every bodly curve that exists in ur top half...

(why was one of my words *rd out...?? i dont even swear!)

There is a God.

:hehe: pants :o yeah american term for trousers rite?

gosh u girls are such moaners :stuck_out_tongue: if u cant get good stuff where ur at, mke a trip to london, i hope u’ll find sumthin tht satisfies u lot..

i hve yet to see girls wearin trousers goin down their butts, unless yeah those hippy punky ones, low waist trousers doesnt mean they go down ur butt.. hehe

well shirts are shirts i think theyve always been like tht, n if u want baggy shirts(new term  ) buying larger sizes might help..but tht wont look smart, rather shabby i guess

dont worry shrara u can buy 4 size larger cloths and they r tight enough to show all the curves .. not too shaby now is it :p ... not that i have noticed this stuff of course

ooh c’mon wal

and hve u seen shalwar kameez, the kameez these days cannot get more tighter…
btw i dont see any point in discussing the tightness of a shirt

They have opened a Jacob outlet at Shoppers World. I haven't checked it out yet as I haven't been to Shoppers World in years. That placed used to be quite ghetto but apparently, not anymore.

Sadzzz, I know what you mean. I just have this paranoia that my pants will fall down which is why I avoid wearing hip huggers. Although, I must say, they do look good.

whats wrong with low rise jeans and pants, i actually like them more than the high rise, i bought a few jeans from ub at square one and suzy has some nice sweaters when i went last time, check out smart set they got some really cool stuff, also Dynamite, Reitmens, Garage C., Stitches, and Sirens :)

i see nothing wrong with low rise jeans or trousers, they are really nice. i think they look real good actually. i like um:)

same, i dont see anything wrong with them,, they are more comfy and look good too..

sadzz, try portmans, mango, or even fcuk has some nice pants..
