Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

Not to butt in but I think the comparison was made to illustrate that even at forever 21 the kurtis are better. I'll say this part of the reason the Kurtis don't don't look as good as the pics is because the design changes in translation, i.e. the longer sleeves and the larger size than the double zero models (that's why they put the clothes on girls who resemble hangers) If you like the work more power to ya! Its important that YOU are satisfied! Clothes off a runway or a model will never look the same on a real person! I have brough the exact merchandise off a runway before and it just dosen't look the same when you get it home, just how it is!

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

$500?? for those??... sorry u aren't happy that people are commenting because u clearly paid too much. they are nice, no doubt. but i have to agree with the rest, tooo expensive for those.
and yes forever 21s prices and material is cheaper, but you still have alot left over to buy more...therefore u can wear more.

i couldn't agree with u more pf!

I think more people on this board need to focus on the actual point of what I was trying to make by posting clothes on here. I was trying to show the design and satisfaction I had with the end result. My intention is not to discuss price on this thread.

i have had it with people and their opinions on here. Seems like whenever I post something I like, most have to critique it in a negative fashion based on price.

If I post a $1,200 Ritu Kumar suit on here that I absolutely love, I will get plenty of negative comments as well.

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

i also think they are not worth 500 babes or maybe the pics really dont do justice lara

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

why is this thread sticky? :konfused:

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

LOL if some folks on here dont have problems paying Rs lakh and more on wedding dresses, i dont understand why they have a problem with Lara spending money on her kurtis? Unless its ok to flaunt our wedding dresses but not our regular clothes?

Lara, good to hear that they finally fixed your kurtis and you are satisfied with the end product.

Prototype- I was wondering the same thing??

Ira - thanks!

^ i wouldn’t go that far! that’s just too much! :disgust:

lara, i love how you share pics with us. please do not let such remarks stop you!

ok maybe the kurtis aren't worth the price payed but the person who payed for them is happy and satisfied with the work and the price and thats what counts.so why should anyone else care.

and i'm glad everythin turned out right for u lara, i know u had alot of trouble dealing with HH the last time as you mentioned in one of your threads.

Thanks everyone for your positive messages. I agree this horse has been beaten beyond and I have regretted posting the original post! I don't know why it is in the stickie's section. I was hoping not having to deal with this again.

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

^honesty is diff from being harsh.don't u know even if u lie to make someone happy its not a sin but kindness on ur behalf.
anyways pricey is another issue but they r in no way ugly.thats unjust.
Hey Lara hav u wore them yet n how did wear them with trousers or skirts.i'm sure they would hav looked nice.

Mabrook - thanks for your positive comments! I have worn the green and blue ones with American trousers, the black one with shorter black silk pants and the brown one I have these spiffy silver pants. Gotta tell you, whatever they look like online with my poor pictures, I get a lot of compliments on them in person.

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

thanks for continuing to post Lara. Just ignore Rabrani , she seems to have issues!

Forever 21 at the Beverly centre is the nicest one I have seen so far! Not sure if there is one in Crenshaw lolz

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

I'm glad that you like ur Hajrah Hayat kurtis......the high end designer spend alot of time creating designs that are the rage and everybody and their aunty copies them with varying succes or they are flops. I don't mind paying a fair amount but if you are from abroad everybody wants to rip you off........some of the younger girls with good jobs have more disposable income and can buy the high end clothing but those of us with families cannot just throw money........it is epecially hard for resellers or women with boutiques because the competition here is stiff......lots of ladies sell clothing so they could afford to wear the latest designs.........
