Thanks Sara. They need to be properly pressed and I was in a hurry when I took the pictures.
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
i was in forever21 today and they had one in dark blue with a prety magenta embroidery that had MORE embroidery than all of these and better stitching for only like 16 dollars. lol.
Was the one in Forever 21 chiffon? Highly doubt it.
You know, this is the last time I am going to happily share anything I've bought on this board. Every time I have done that, i've gotten criticism for overspending and insulting my choices.
I fear to think what anyone would say if they knew how much I spent on my new house which I built custom or how much I spent on my car or even which restaurants I eat at!
I have seen so much crap posted on here with so many people oohing and ahhing over it. Every one shops according to their own budget and taste. I have never said rude things to anyone's posting on here even when it was obvious it was crap.
I have received several new outfits in December and was going to share them once I had a chance to properly have them pressed, but it's just going to get knocked down by those who have their own sense of styles.

thats not fair, i bet in an decent place that would be the stitching and finishing cost let alone kurti with that embroidery, its again comes down to what is being bought from whom and what price.
its really easy to point on others work...
in laras case she seems to be more comfortable with high end stuff and many people here has to accept the fact that people are there in this world unlike them who like to buy from decent places even if it means more price....
Junaid - you are absolutely right. Forever 21 is a mass production store whose shoppers are usually high school ages who work at McDonalds or receive allowance from their parents. Clothes there are not good quality and typically are in the $20 or less range. It is located in mid to low end shopping malls where all clothes are now at least 70% off.
I was comparing the kurtis I ordered to higher end stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom, etc. Huge difference.
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
I feel like saying something on PF’s comment but…leave it !
Lara: dont feel bad about such comments. we surely do appreciate your sharing of shopping.

it can be in chiffon but would it be same as yours no, there are many crapy chiffon variants all around the market.
some people pay product only, and some for product and Feel as well.
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
Well, Lara, I enjoy looking at your shopping and anyone else's if they want to share. It is always your money and you can spend it anyway you want. That said, I liked the idea of converting shirts into kurtis, so please share more with us. Thanks for taking the the time to take and post pics.

What a tacky thing to say, for someone who's selling outfits that are EXTREMELY overpriced. You should learn from junaid and salman on how to be more professional.

Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
hi! oh no i didnt mean it like that. i meant that there were MANY there and the quality was nice for forever21 i could totally see a desi wearing them to an event and at such great prices i thought lara would be interested or someone else on this forum! i can pull them up if you'd like :)
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
heyy forever 21 is cute lol.. i know lots of women (who can afford better) shop there as well, because they have cute stuff. lots of ppl mix expensive, high end stuff with cheaper stuff. :D
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
Haha, seriously. there are nice things at Forever21. I have a good job. It's not like I'm cheap or do not have the budget you have. I spend where I need to like my wedding clothes, shoes, etc. Sometimes one can find great stuff at forever21 and I live in Los Angeles where there are plenty of malls and Forever21 is at the HIGHEST to lowest scale malls here. You are completely off-base and wrong to insult the caliber of those who shop there. Maybe you should listen to the teachings of our new president. This is the kind of thinking we should stray away form. Judging one based on their wealth or what they can supposedly afford or not afford to buy is wrong.
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
WOW. I am HIGHLY AMUSED, unfortunately at Lara's expense. Lara.... MANY of us females here DO APPRECIATE that you posted pictures of your outfits and have shared your experiences. Please, do not stop due to the lack of politeness of some people here. However, although unasked, I do advice, that in future, you leave out how much you paid for anything, regardless of what people ask you. Keep in mind that people from all over the world are in this forum. For a person in PK, $500 might be 3 months' salary, for someone in USA even, $500 might be a month's salary (like my broke grad student butt is about to be). People are very sensitive about money, and as this is an open forum, will state their opinions, polite or not. So please do keep that in mind.
As I already mentioned, you love your outfits, and that's all that matters. Ask to have the thread closed if you don't want it to go any further, and next time, PLEASE DO post more outfits, and leave out the price.
Thanks Syani1. How Syani of you to say such things. I should have sent the one who asked the price a PM.

Haha. Thanks Lara. Quite frankly, I suggest unless you know the person relatively well, just don't disclose, period. Your money is yours. You don't need strangers knowing your spending habits. ;)
Re: Loving my kurtis from Hajra Hayat
comparing chiffon kurtis to forever 21 haha - some people are nuts!
I like the first two ones - the kaam on the black pink one is very pretty. and I like the delicate kaam on the turquoise one as well plus I love that color!!
