Herein lies the problem. You need to DISBELIEVE in ALLAH SWT to commit shirk. Doesn’t matter whether you say it, write it, think it, whatever, but Shirk is only when you attach partners with Allah SWT or deny his existence. No other sin can be shirk.

exactly this is how you show your disbelief on some one - by not listening to his teaching / ignoring him by doing what he doesn’t recommend you doing ..
