How real is it? In arranged marriages there is alot of focus on education looks career character but really does love overrule these things? And are not arranged marriages the biggest risk anyone can ever take because really is it possible to fall in love with a complete stranger because you now HAVE to live with them?

Arranged marriages are business contracts.
All marriages are gambles. Even love marriage.
The journey starts with respect and if you are lucky enough, then both sided love. Usually it’s just respect and then the spouse becomes a habit.

I see so many thriving relationships where people marry the person they know rather than a complete stranger. What should have been a bad date becomes a life long nightmare.

well we can all dream and it would be nice for it to turn into THAT kind of love. desis have turned marriage into a very complicated thing.

A marriage that has a lot of love for a few years is still better than a loveless marriage that may drag on forever.

Even if love marriages fail there still would’ve been a period where you liked your spouse, but in arrange marriages you can’t even guarantee that.

I think having something and losing it , is more painful than not having it at all. You cant miss something you’ve never had.There really is nothing to miss. Your heart cant break, it should not hurt over nothing. But to have love and lose it, is probably one of the most horrible things a person has to go through in this lifetime. Its better , in my opinion, to not go through it at all . Life can be a challenge as it is.
