Re: major sins
Peace to All
Everyone has posted examples of sins, to add ...
There are classifications of sins such as major and minor and focussing on what each have in common can lead to patterns in the types of sins in their characteristics.
Major sins therefore take us away from belief or are expressions of disbelief - this includes lies.
Other major sins include those acts which take us away from our worship and impact others in the society on a macro social scale.
Lesser sins tend to impact us and those close to us on a micro social scale and can be classed as:
Indulging in makrooh
Hating those things that are supposed to be loved.
Being unkind, inconsiderate, having bad opinions about others and so on
Then there are other sins which are even more minor but sins nonetheless, whether we are accountable for them is another matter ... but all those acts that are forbidden or makrooh that we do without realising that we are doing them. For example staring at an attractive person for too long, etc ...
Remember every act we do has associated to it a weight, the least act being that with a comparative weight of the smallest visible thing.
