Louis Vuitton

Me and a guppan are having a conversation about LV. It all started with my new Longchamp wallet and someone else saying that LV is a better brand. What is your opinion about the matter and LV in general?

I believe that I am sick of seeing LV logos everywhere:bummer:

I dont find LV very appealing at the most they are ok, sophisticated bags but i seriously dont think they are worth the price they come for. And they have gotten too common nowadays so ya that doesnt help much either.

Re: Louis Vuitton

umm i dont really it much and its hardly a unique design u know

Re: Louis Vuitton

I agree, it wouldn't be hard to believe if someone told me that there are more fakes out there than the originals. I still love their epi leather collection. And as far as the logo is concerned I don't like logos of any brand on the bag, gucci, coach, LV, dooney and bourke, etc.

Re: Louis Vuitton

Oh so you mean you do not like monochromed collections then? ^

You come to dubai there is a Karama market, so many fakes:eek:

Zaymz I agree with you not so khaas designs. Today in sociology lecture I had my Longchamp wallet on the desk and the girl sitting next to me had her LV and she is like wow I love your wallet I am tired of mine! hehe… :mocking: then I told her about Longchamp and she said she will get Longchamp stuff from now on.

Maham LV is expensive, kind of but they do have nice bags and accessories. I guess I am getting sick of it because it is too much around me, in uni etc etc… LV girls are ruling uni lol

Re: Louis Vuitton

Back in the old days, my mom and my aunts used to rock the classic LV bags.. they were not as obscenely popular as they are now and were very understated chic… audrey hepburn used to love the classic ones… and i remember when i was 15 my mom bought me my first designer bag, which was LV, and i still have it… somewhere! But now, the design has been totally b*astardised, and tbh, with age i’ve found that i don’t like the designers label plastered all over my goods like i’m trying to advertise what i have in my possession… give me a hermes bag anyday… but i still have LV luggage for when i travel… i’ve had the luggage for so long so i may as well put it to use rather than let them gather dust :snooty:

Re: Louis Vuitton

And yay for the “lawn(g) schawmp” Aisha  :yahoo:

yeh they have a lot of fake LV, coach, gucci, fendi in chinatown in nyc.

Re: Louis Vuitton

^^Canal street!!!... man that was an experience walking down there when i was in NY a while back... it's a haven for fake goods! :D

Re: Louis Vuitton

^lol yeh this aunt of mine came into the city and asked me to take her. i had never been there either so i took her, it was definitely an experience to remember and never go back!

Re: Louis Vuitton

Exactly yay for longchamp! :cb:

sometimes I get a bit angry when I see fake goods:bummer:

that's the first thing that popped up in my head when i opened this thread ...

Re: Louis Vuitton

It is increasingly hard to spot a fake from a real bag these days ....for the untrained eye anyway.... you could easily tell the difference a whileback, but the chinese have really excelled themseleves with copying to the exact detail (excluding the bag material if it's leather, but a randomer on the street isn't going to come up to you and feel your bag to see if it's fake or real!) .... that's why i avoid 'it bags' at all costs... as they'll only get ripped off and why should i spend thousands of pounds when the chav waking next to me on the street has the same thing for a 100th of the price :(

Re: Louis Vuitton

I know exactly!! Thats why I feel angry! You pay so much money for LV etc but all those people have it too albeit fake!:smack: I am glad I got longchamp this time, I do not think the chinese have got to know about this brand! Have not seen a longchamp fake. But seriously it is one amazing wallet. I love the feel of the leather and the smell of the leather! In my uni there are a lot of originals but some fakes too. In my uni they do not really care if it is original or not, you have to have LV thats it!

Re: Louis Vuitton

i think LV's price is jst because of their name. i think they r boring and all the designs look same except few. and i jst hate logos of any brand but they keep it hidden unlike LV. they like to flaunt their logo everyhwere gahhhhhhhh grow up!

Re: Louis Vuitton

I think it entirely depends on a prticular bag.. As far as my shopping style goes - i go for known designer brands purely because of quality and more so for AFTER SALES SERVICE.

I think louis vuitton monogram canvas is a cute line but there are so many fakes that i would never buy it.. But then LV does a suhali range, a limelight range from which a bag is on my wishlist for sure.

One Designer house does so many lines and then there are seasonal collections... So i guess its very subjective, i buy bags based on weather i like the design.

I rem. my Gucci lost a 'bolt' after 1 year of wear.. and i went to their after care in london, they didnt ask for a receipt or even authenticate certificate.. I mean gucci ppl can of course tell a fake from the real thing but still - the bag was fixed with new bolt in 5 min. The a rem loosing a stone off my swarovski earrings which i had worn for THREE years... and they simply gave me a new pair.

These things matter alot - As for LC and LV specifically - for me LC is too mature, Just like LV's EPI range... i would rather have a VERNIS wallet by LV.. but thats just my opinion..

Enjoy your wallet! I'm sure if you love it you'll love wearing it too! Wear in good health :)

Re: Louis Vuitton

Please do not abbreviate Longchamp as LC:smack: People here call Liz Clairborne as LC:smack:

Nice post nonameismyname.. yesh I will enjoy it and I am enjoying my wallet!

Re: Louis Vuitton

Designer goods (and the ppl who are too good for "fakes") are seriously overrated :p

I agree wid you sara:)

I have many designer stuff, and I have equally non-designers stuff to

but I was always more comfy in non-designers

when I have designers - it does feel like I am advertising for someone else without getting pay for it! :frowning: :hehe:
