Loss of Curves via Cardio

Why does it seem like my assets are shrinking but nothing moving on my big fat stomach? And trust me when I tell you there aren’t enough assets to loose!!!

LOL! consult a trainer for the best answer. But from what i have heard, read n wat seems logical is that neva do cardio alone...esp if u have more than 10 pounds 2 loose...u shud add strength training in yr work out as that wl make sure u dont loose any muscle while doing cardio as loss of muscle wl mean yr skin wl sag or yr assets wl no longer be assets :P.

stop cardio immediately!!
You need to do some exercise focusing on you tummy.
Depending on kind of gym you may find few machines for stomach work out. use them.

Yup - I try to do stregnth atleast 1/3 times the cardio.. but my cardio is definately heavier then the strength.. Maybe I'll make it 1/2 and 1/2

Good plan but I dont like machines. I feel like they take away from your resistence. I do it all old school style.. crunches and all.

Please feel free to recommend some ab workouts that have worked best for you.
Don't worry -- little old larki me can take your big man workouts. :)

ok. you gain your stuff back in the form of muscles too.
But you have to pick a different cardio. Like stair-climber thingie.
With walking you are going to lose fat over you leg are, which is not always desired.
Training stomach is differnt than strength training. Its in the middle of strength and cardio. You do lots of rap.

Well these days I do stair in my house for 20 mins one step 13 mins. 2 steps 7 mins. no breaks.

I do it 2 -3 times a weak.
Run 2km than sprints 5-7 100 meters .2 times.
Then I do streght train too. Chin-ups free weights.
I too hate machines.
Try doing stairs it for sure work on stomach too, do crunches right after.
But If you want fastest results do crunches right after cardio.

Umm I'm game for the stairs thing. I haven't tried that.
Will report back in a couple of weeks.

Anything else anyone can suggest.

start slow. Real slow.
4-5 mins start. One step.
every day in beginning. After week or so 3 times a week 10 mins.

Do crunches after. Make you you do some stretching before.
And lot of stretching after.

1 step works more on quadriceps. 2 step work more on hamstrings.
Both awsome for tummy.
In any case butt stays.lol

Didnt you know that your ass and the chest are the first thing that loose weight and gain weight??
Most exercises cause you to loose weight from both areas first.

Im jumping rope these days, its working my arms and legs :cb:

Adre made a valid point. So do keep vision of losing your assets once you are into dieting and exercises. Esp dieting simply plays havoc. If you want to save your assets as you must… focus on such exercises as may prove useful in burning the flesh only where you really want it to lose. Like tummy exercises etc as Knockout suggested. Stretching exercises and esp Yoga is the way to go :k:

Its not if you wear good supportive clothing just like jogging and running could also cause stretching if a very good sports bra is not worn.

I usually walk, at work, at night when there is nothing to do, I walk for an hour and its very rewarding but kinda gets boring walking around the fish tank 5000 times. Its a massive fish tank.

So ive introduced the rope for like 15 minutes. Not bad at all.

When I started to work upon losing post pregnancy weight, I was unware of the fact that the assets loose weight first. Now Im pretty much into knowing how my body works.

Try using resistance bands in your workouts if you don't like using machines. It helps to create a strength workout, it's very good. Most sporting goods stores will probably carry these, also some small 5lb dumbells help, or wrist and ankle weights.

^^ Yup... I think that and the stairs is going to be my next thing..

knockout I tried the stairs man -- my legs are soar (which is a lovely feeling) but I didnt get to do it for long. I have double jointed knees so I think I have to work up a resistence to it. I've never been big on knee workouts.

just another general question for everyone; what about lunges?
Do they increase the butt or shrink it?
