Losing / Thining Hair

Hi Njgal,

I've had the same issue and these remedies below helped me out. The thing with hair thinning and falling is that you have to take various measures to prevent it and that also includes diet.

1) Take a multivitamin to make up for deficiencies. Protein is essential to hair growth as are the B-complex vitamins, zinc, and IRON. **Doctors have found that many women who suffer from thinning hair......also had **iron deficiency. It's a common problem in women. And guess what? EVEN A BORDERLINE DEFICIENCY OF IRON WILL NOT** SHOW UP IN A BLOOD TEST. **My doctor recommended iron supplements for my falling hair and I've noticed that when I take them regularly, my hair falling stops dramatically. BUT an iron overdose can be dangerous, even fatal, so ALWAYS consult your doctor before deciding to take iron supplements. In general you can take a multivitamin that also contains the safe daily dosage of iron.

2) Even hair, like the rest of your body, needs to be hydrated so that' it's more elastic and healthy. So make sure that you're drinking plenty of water.

3) Fenugreek (methi) has been used for decades to revive hair growth. Here is what I've been doing. In a bottle, put methi dana at the very bottom. Then pour EQUAL QUANTITIES of OLIVE OIL and MUSTARD oil into the bottle . The oil should rest on top of the mustard seeds in the bottle. Let the bottle set/steep for a day. And then start applying the oil.

4) I saw good results when I applied the oil to my hair everyday. Some experts recommend daily application. But you can skip a day if you want, or even apply it a couple of days during the week. Pay attention to your massaging. While massaging, rotate your fingers on your scalp. You should be able to feel your scalp move underneath your rotating fingers. This is relaxing and increases blood circulation. Wash the oil off after an hour or two. Wash your hair gently. I like to put my head down and over the tub and wash my hair with a pitcher because the shower pressure can sometimes be harsh on the scalp and hair.

5) With most remedies, it takes about 3 months to see a substantial difference. That's about how long it took me, so you'll have be regular and patient.

Best wishes!
