I really liked their designs and prices and i remember girls saying if the price is too good chances are it is. Well it seems like banawat n more has been having issues with customers but I will take this warning seriously bc the last comment is by a girl who moved to the town i went to college in. I put her in touch with some friends so that she’d know ppl when she did move (its a small town in texas). And so I will take that warning seriously and if anyone has had a positive experience with this company i welcome them to post about it.
Maybe this could be a topic where users can compile a list of emails and fb groups to AVOID AT ALL COSTS?
I ordered a dress from banawat after reading all the lovely comments their customers made on their wall. Theyre not a fraud/scam as my dress was delivered but i didnot exactly get what i asked for. Also their customer service when it comes to attending calls, replying to emails is so bad that poor customers start thinking maybe they are nothing but a fraud group too. So i just ordered 1 dress and the amount of tension banawat people gave me, i promised myself never 2 order anything from them again! My experience with them was bad and i dont recommend them 2 anyone. Yes, another thing i rem, when my dress was ready to be shipped, first they said that the courier company cant deliver my dress as my address is not complete, then they gave me the contact number and email address of the courier company and told me 2 deal with them myself. How stupid! I mean its ur business, u should deal with the courier company yourself and make sure the dress is delivered to ur customer on time and if there are problems with shipment, thats ur duty to solve, not the customers! I had to literally tell this banawat group ppl to solve that issue themselves and send me my dress. I would never order from them again. There are also many other groups with dresses within $100 range but NEVER BANAWAT!
Another thing according to them my dress was supposed to be ready and shipped to me in 3-4 weeks time, it was just 1 DRESS! but that 1 dress took 6-7 weeks to get to me.
i agree with dr sara, they are not a scam but pretty close to one.i ordered two dresses and when i got them they were stitched to someone elses size, also the material used was atrocious and work on it was sooo untidy.after exchanging very nasty emails with the lady from banawat n more i never got my money back, she did say she would alter it to my size but even if they were altered i would never wear them,so i figured why bother shipping them back to pakistan.lesson learnt[the hard way]also she stopped replying to my emails till i threatened to post the the pictures of the dresses i got on her website*then she contacted me and was extremely rude in her mails and said i was the only one having problems.*
Add Zarin's Unique Fashion to the list. They are way past the date my outfit was supposed to be delivered. I see other people inquiring about their orders as well on their wall but no replies.
mato3girls...ur experience sounds like what I had with merishopping.com. ugh. the measurements were not mine. never again.
Did you only have problems with the measurements? I ordered an item from them and I really liked it and was impressed with how much it looked like the original. Upon closer examination though I noticed they had a gathered stitching along the waist to create more of a flare but it was only one side of the front (not even the whole front). I still like it but definitely not professional tailoring to make such an obvious oversite.
I saw some of there other replicas and some of them are really exact while others definitely leave something to be desired.
I know they have several locations, so maybe the work varies depending on the location- no excuses for the mistake they made on your outfit though.

Thanks for the information, I am deleting the group from my FB account, so that I am never tempted by any pics and their messages in my FB box everyday is so annoying.

Well I ordered 3 suits, none fit me. the stitching was so bad that I could see 3 to 4 patches of cloth joined too make one sleeve! same for all my sleeves! when I specified shalwar I got pants again of a different size...so no more!

That's good to know- I originally considered ordering from them again but will definitely not anymore.
Best way to avoid being ripped off is to use an escrow account.
When you get the product then you release the funds.
I've used escrow.com for this without any issue. If *vendor *doesn't agree to escrow account, they probably are not legit and are only interested in stealing your money.
