Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

I’ve been a regular customer at Chyn Chin (Lawrence and Midland) ever since it first opened up. The food is still good, but the sitting area and the overall quality of the cutlery and other equipment has drastically deteriorated.

To add to that, my stomach was a little unhappy after the last time I ate there. Therefore, I’m looking for another good Chinese restaurant in Scarborough (not too far south) and/or Markham area. One that is halaal and is clean.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

It's Scarborough and Markham, Ontario that I'm interested in. Not across the border.

Sara, food of the people of the book is halaal depending on what your beliefs are.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

i think there is one in the scar area called Fredricks..i think thats the name...ive heard its really good....i'll try to find more info on that......

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Fredrick **is the best for Chilli Chicken Shrimp/Chicken fried rice and of course Chicken pakoras. (East - North corner of Ellesmer and Bellamy Rd) **BEST BEST BEST and cheep

Lucky Chinese .... expensive and sucks but seating is very clean and nice( East - North corner of Midland Ave and Lawrence)

Ling Garden’s Chicken Noodles are the BEST BEST BEST BEST but Chilli Chicken is so so. (South of Sheppard on Pharmacy)

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Fredrick most likely mixes up halaal and haraam meat because they don't buy halaal meat in large quantity. I personally called up theri halaal meat supplier and found out about it. This was a few years ago.

Lin Garde isn't all that impressive. I don't like their food and their hot and sour soup sucks.

Lucky just doesn't have the best tasting Chinese food. Chin Chyn has better food, but it's getting too dirty now.

Any more halaal Chinese restaurants?

I know I'm very picky. :(

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

^ Fredricks is not completely Halaal? Are you sure? could you let me know their meat suppliers please I have to take this doubt out of my mind.
thanks

Other resturants...hmmm why don't you go to Toronto.com and find out from there.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

^ Call'em up and ask'em to provide you with the phone number for their meat supplier. I don't have it on me anymore.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Any chinese place in Toronto serve halal duck?

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Dunno how far "Wok with Yu" will be for you Sadiyah... its at Eglinton & Warden. Pretty decent food.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Wok with Yu is alright. Not too special.

This reminds me that I should try out Chopsticks Schewan. I haven't been there in a while. I may end up liking it.

Mad_Sci, I think Lin Garden serves duck.

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Ling Garden’s Chicken Noodles are the BEST BEST BEST BEST but Chilli Chicken is so so. (South of Sheppard on Pharmacy)

Re: Looking for a good Halaal Chinese Restaurant

Are Lucky and Lin Garden Halal? I have been there dozens of times and never ate chicken or anything else but sea food.
