But Sadaf, how can I remedy crumbly mixture?? I measured my ingredients using the measuring cup. But I may have gone really generous with the generous tbsp of flour :D

Ira - i think adding a itty bitty amount of milk to the mixture won't do any harm. It'll have a better consistency, and will not crumble.
Ugh, this reminds me of a tried and tested recipe of gulab jamuns. I know I have it somewhere at home, just need to fish around for it.

Ira, mine also turned out to be crumbly but it held together.
Just make sure that your milk powder cup is not generous... baki khair hai :)

Can i use skimmed milk powder? I only have that in cupboard. Sadaf, wow, what a good cook you are. Your gulab jumans look superb. Can't wait to and make myself!

Muniya, it depends on how u like them, I dont like light colored gulabjamans, so I make them dark brown.

never used skimmed milk powder, maybe you can. Or you make them with skimmed milk and let us know how they turned out.
