London / UK Riots

Re: London - riots

i understand ur concerns but plz take it a lil easy. iA, he will be fine. just pray 2 rakat nafl.

:( it's indeed insane...i dunno much but what i heard on the news is it's like total anarchy on city streets in the affected areas. people just trying to get free goods by simply looting...this shows our moral bankruptcy. i believe there was some problem in Tooting [a predominantly asian community] a couple of years ago. i wun der why police is NOT going ALL OUT to stop this. May Allah bring peace to the affected area...aameen

Re: London - riots

iyla dont worry your hubby will be fine inshAllah, the gangs are more interested in looting than harming people.

Why dont they bring in the army, the police are failing and need to take a tougher approach, dispersing the gangs doesnt work, they just re emerge in other areas.

Re: London - riots

YUP...could't agree more...how is the situation in your neighbourhood?

Re: London - riots

My husband rang me and told me the streets were blocked, kids are still out causing trouble, he could see so many shops smashed and he had to find a long route to the hospital - but he made it safely Alhamdolilah.

I can't believe I am living in London!!

Thank you both for your words of encouragement.

Re: London - riots

Where abouts are you?

I am south east London.

Re: London - riots

I dont live in a london district so i think we should be fine allhamdoulillah ( although we are only a 40 min drive away from east london)

But seeing the state of whats going on in london is just disgusting.

Re: London - riots

Yeah I remember something happening in Toothing years back. Can't pinpoint what it was. Toothing is about 40 mins drive from where I live.

Re: London - riots

**welcome...

...alHamdolillah...i'm glad to know that he has reached hospital safely...shukr Allah kaa. **

Re: London - riots

maybe your husband should spend the night in the hospital until things quieten down, its probably safest for him. May allah keep us all safe.

Re: London - riots

Its sehri time so the days just started. I did pack him a sandwich but knowing him he's probably rushed straight into work and forgotten to eat. But I hope he has eaten something though.

The hospital is about 30 mins drive away from our home. Let's see what happens. I pray the Police wake up and act fast now.

Thugs are stealing HD flat screens and anything they can get their hands on! Barbaric behaviour!

What if this is a set up of some kind by BNP/EDL groups???

Re: London - riots

I hope and pray that this stops soon. This is so scary!! I actually can't believe this is London!!!

Re: London - riots

Dont worry sometimes you can have a quick nibble in between operations or as the anasthesia is going in ( i know i have hehe ) so Im sure he will get a few bites in!

The police are such failures, they really need to wake up now.

I dont think its a BNP/EDL thing I think its just pure anarchy and greed taking place, in a weird disgusting way i think races amongst these gangs have united to achieve the same thing - loot.

I cant believe his is happening to our beautiful london.

Re: London - riots

I know I was thinking the same thing!! Not in our London...!!! :( :(

Its astonishing that this is happening in the UK!! Can't believe it! Where are the police? Why aren't they stopping them or using tear gas at least?

This is such a disgrace!!

I can't understand the minds of those thugs!! They are doing this all for enjoyment? They think its okay to live on benefits because they can't be asked to find a job and then they go and smash a shop window and start stealing! eBay is going to be jam-packed today!! They are burning down property just for entertainment! What about the innocent law-abiding citizens out there?

Thankfully thousands have been caught on camera and police are putting up images. They should be hauled before a court and be given hard labour by cleaning up the damage they have caused!

Re: London - riots

Re: London - riots

Military forces need to enforce curfews and shoot these freaking freeloading yobs.
I am a mix of furious and hurt at seeing this, areas I know well, even businesses burnt close to my family's commercial properties
pathetic really.

Re: London - riots

We all know that Altaaf bhai lives in London but it doesnt mean that Miliatry forces should be called in to handle these trouble makers :D

PS. Is Pakistan not a safer place ? :P

Re: London - riots

Its really heartbreaking watching what is happening to London, totally disgusting behaviour by yobo's out to get what ever they can.

The police are under resourced, send in the army I say

Re: London - riots

Where is the army and where is the police?

How on earth is a country like the UK being brought to its very knees by rioters and looters?!

Ludicrous!!!!!!!

My mothers take on this, the thugs doing this are paid thugs, and it's because the "political unrest" caused in Muslim countries... and the UK are now "paying" for all the violence as she thinks the political unrest caused was instigated by the west.

Not sure if she has any basis on these wild ideas! Lol
