Apparently BBC are saying it's predominantly black youths. However I am not there, so I cannot comment! Nor do I want to be!
Started in south and north London, now moved Harrow and Birmingham, with rumours of it spreading north. Keep safe people. Should bring out army and shoot at will if you ask me.

Nice comment. But at the risk of derailing this thread, **Ill just say this that the involved youth cannot really relate to London as their city and Britain as their country in the true sense that the youth of egypt, tunisia could.

Some of these black youths have this attitude that they are Kings and that the world owes them something. I hate the confident attitude they carry around thinking they can do as they will and that other people should fear them! Complete lack of respect and basic common decency. They have no shame and no fear at all! Where are their parents?
What about the honest and hard working families who will suffer because of this now or are scared to leave their homes?
The police needs to wake up, join forces and get tough on these idiots. We need larger prisons!
Why on earth aren't the police using battons, rubber bullets, water cannons, tear gases etc?!

My brother mentioned they've started in Manchester too...

My Husband has to go past Peckham Station daily to get to his work place! When he was coming home he saw fights and thugs being chased by the police!! He was on the number 63 bus!!
He leaves for work after sehri as he starts his shift early morning! I want to ask him not to go but he's a surgeon and has no choice. :( :( But he said he'll take the car today otherwise usually he takes the transport.

I just heard that 2 thugs tried to attack our local mosque but were stopped. Now 100's of muslims have gathered outside and said they will camo and remain outside guarding the mosque now!

yeah...he come under 'essential services personnel' and he has to go then i guess. yes, he better drive than take the subway. don't the hospitals arrange transportation in such circumstances? May Allah look out for him and bring him back safe and sound. aameen

No nothing of the sort! :( He just home in a rush as he's been called into emergency!! The hospitals ate jam packed now!
I can't sleep at all I am so worried!! My local Sainsbury's is on fire! This is crazy!!
