Re: London - riots

It's crazy out there, I can hear helicopters, police sirens and so forth. A lil while ago I witnessed a gang of youths running up my road and hesitating which way they should run who were shortly followed by police officers.A lil while ago my brother went to the sweet shop and witnessed about 150 youths about to smash in pc world, there's places that the media are not even covering. Jd's got looted up my road and bare people were running out with boxes of trainers. crazy times

Re: London - riots

Aminas, get home and stay home and don't go to work tomorrow!

CE tell your brother to stop eating sweets and stay home!

Re: London - riots

These youths deserve someone like Pakistani police to give them a good chittrol. Don't know what's wrong with these hormonal driven teenagers these days, proper morons.

Re: London - riots

I don't get how the Met cannit sort them out? They are like keeping well back, in groups just allowing it all to happen.

"Where is the flipping army then...stop bombing the Middle East and sort out London, khotay." says my sister.

Re: London - riots

Mills, thats exactly I was just thinking that why is MET waiting for them to finish off one area and then come to them so that they can back off further? These youths deserve pakistani style chitrol and should be thrown in prisons followed by rehabs to sort their pathetic minds out.

Re: London - riots

To be fair to these youths, they actually have no concept of the fact that they are destroying their own communities. They are, in their minds just 'havin a laugh' as they have nothing else to do. Im not justifying their behaviour whatsoever so untwist yer knickers, im just saying. They don't know what they are doing and why, they just are.

They probs thought with Boris and Cameron on holiday they could do a little playing.

Re: London - riots

LONDON: The British capital continued to smoulder under a series of ‘copycat’ riots that engulfed the city for a second day, with looting and arson reported in new areas, just miles from the site of next year’s Olympic Games, prompting authorities to arrest as many as 160 people.

Groups of masked youth looted shops, attacked police officers and set fire to vehicles in raging violence, sparked by the killing of a youth in police shooting in Tottenham, raising questions over security of the 2012 Games.

London police launched a massive investigation into what they described as ‘copycat criminal’ violence, as home secretary Theresa May rushed back from her summer holiday.

She warned that those responsible “will be made to face the consequences of their actions”.

Irate mobs looted a giant electrical retail store in the black-dominated southern area of Brixton as violence was reported in several boroughs in north, south and east London following earlier trouble in Tottenham in the north.

Even the posh Oxford Circus at the heart of the city’s tourist area also reported sporadic violence.

May, who is flying back today from her summer holiday has been in contact with senior politicians and police officials after the fatal shooting of Mark Duggan, 29, by police during a peaceful protest in Tottenham on Thursday prompted violent riots on Saturday night.

May warned that those responsible “will be made to face the consequences of their actions” and called on all members of local communities to work constructively with the police to help them bring “these criminals to justice”.

Re: London - riots

Well if a Pakistani , living in pakistan exhibits such behavior , we can account it for the deprived state of basic necessities of life for him ...

but why this British lot ?

Re: London - riots

Mills, I doubt some of these youths even care who Boris is. :)

I think its a bit more than just 'havin a laugh'. The fact that there are unguarded shops to be looted with the things majority of this youth cannot afford is making them wanna get their share out of it all.

Most of these communities dont go to schools, they are unemployed and tax payers' money dont give em enough of pocket money eh :)

Re: London - riots

I disagree Sabs, lots of them are far too young to understand the whole 'we dont get paid enough' They are just doing it for fun.

Re: London - riots

C'mon they have opportunities - if they cant make out of it , they shouldn't be blaming the system for their failure ....

and the freaking dole they get - it is more then enough ....

ask us who have worked 20 hours every week to fund our living while studying :)

Re: London - riots

They dont understand that but if their mates few years older than them are doing it, they get influenced too with same poisonous thought.

but whatever it is, MET seems to be failing oh so miserably in dealing with it.
