Re: London / UK Riots

Pakistani cricket bat or american baseball bat - why don't you ask the thugs what they'd like before? ;)

Re: London / UK Riots

since yesterday, I keep having the same thought over and over again. You have to have absolutely no pride in your home to go out and destroy it.

when does a person reach the point where he/she does not value their home? I don't even litter because Canada is my home and I want to keep it clean. Where is their love for their country? Where is their pride?

I still believe the original riot was anger and frustration due to circumstances and directed at the police ... what has happened in the following days are just freeloaders. It's sad and pathetic because when confronted by reporters, these kids said they were vandalizing because "everybody else was doing it too". Total sheep mentality.

Re: London / UK Riots

salaam all, just wanted to share some info i heard of from two people i know....there seems to be txt msgs going around saying that residents need to be cautious because looting is taking place in peoples homes.

I do not know how true this really is but I was told that a man or woman will knock on your door she might be wearing a nikab/ hijab or hat (anything that disguises the appearance i guess) she will either ask for help or for food and when an opportunity comes, guys will come barging in form front or back and will take all your stuff.

but like i said not sure whether this is just rumour spreading or if this has actually happened recently in connection with the riots thats taking place.

Regardless of whether this is true or false please take extra care when your at home...dont open the door blindly, check who it is, only open if your 100% certain.

just out of curiosity anyone else heard of such events or received any txt about this? If so plz share.

Re: London / UK Riots

I've heard the father of the two brothers who were killed last night died of a heart attack this morning. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon, may Allah give Sabaar to their loved ones - Ameen

If anyone is interested in watching live coverage on the Birmingham riots tune into sky Chanel 847

Re: London / UK Riots

The EDL goons are ridiculous. :hehe:

“A group of the English Defence League turned up in the high street and have been drinking all day, and although they say they’re here to assist the police, they [the police] have now diverted all these resources here,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
Scotland Yard sounded a similar warning.
“What I don’t need is these so-called vigilantes, who appeared to have been drinking too much and taking policing resources away from what they should have been doing - which is preventing the looting,” said Met Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Steve Kavanagh.

Re: London / UK Riots

Is that in news?

Re: London / UK Riots

I'm not sure, but I heard from my aunt who went to the Masjid to mourn their death. Infact, I haven't heard anything about the other two brothers on the news...

Re: London / UK Riots

Now thats More sad :(

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon, may Allah give Sabaar to their loved ones - Ameen

Re: London / UK Riots

Birmingham is tense tonight after the death of the three people. Lots of appeals for calm are coming now as the fear that a race riot might erupt.

*Here is something for us to think. There are two Islamic TV channels which broadcast from Birmingham and one Sikh TV called Sangat. While the two Islamic channels have behaved in a manner as if nothing has happened in the city, sangat TV has taken the lead in broadcasting this news, so much so that even before the news broke on the national TV stations they were broadcasting it and even SKY news showed clips from their broadcast. They have been in the area all day long and broadcasting and showing solidarity with the family of the victims, also appealing for calm. Where are our beloved community leaders and these TV channels. Lanat hai inn per. *

Re: London / UK Riots

The news has not been confirmed and I think it is a rumour.

Re: London / UK Riots

Yeah I also think it's a rumour or may be it was someone else. Father of Haroon has been talking to newspapers quite recently.

Re: London / UK Riots

ehsan bhai, which two Islamic channels?

Re: London / UK Riots

Noor TV sky channel 819 and Hidayat TV sky channel 803

Re: London / UK Riots

Exactly. One of those Islamic channels is based directly in the area where a lot of trouble was actually taking place.. but no, not a word about anything on both channels - not even an appeal for people to stay calm and safe. Not even anything to do with our 3 Muslim brothers who lost their lives defending their community. May Allah grant them Jannat.

Really makes you think what the priorities of these channels are, because helping/serving the community is definitely not one of them.

Re: London / UK Riots

Hidayat is based in B'ham? That makes 3 then.. because so is Takbeer TV channel 845. Shameful!

Re: London / UK Riots

Yeah Sangat Tv 847, their coverage has managed to save property, and create massive awareness.
I stayed up all night to watch the exclusive coverage by Sangat Television, I 'll support Sangat channel thn Noor or Takbeer.

They're covering Cameron's visit to the area this evening live.

Re: London / UK Riots

3 Channels and not a word out of these so pious and religious TV channels. Disgusting and shameful. i will send emails to all three but doubt they will care.

Re: London / UK Riots

This behavior of Islamic channel is so sad

Re: London / UK Riots

I hope it is, I only heard about this from a relative who attended the mourning of Haroon. However, I don't think there has been any official statement from the family of the two brothers?
