Thank you Monk.

Re: Logic Quiz
no problem.
Re: Logic Quiz
in this case the only persons capable of answering are C,D
D would be dead sure of the color if he sees 2 B or Ws in front of him
Since he did not speak out - C deduces that D sees 2 colors - and once he sees that B has White he can be sure that he is Black.
Re: Logic Quiz
@bitter and @OYMWA got it right. Answer is C.
If D saw either two black or two white hats ahead of him then he would know that he would have a white or black hat, respectively. Since he in fact sees one of each color ahead of him means that he can’t make any immediate conclusions on the color of his own hat.
The fact that D does not then immediately say something makes it apparent to the others that D sees one hat of each color, and since C sees a white hat in front of him allows him to conclude that he himself has a black hat.
Next one
4 anthropologists are trying to cross a river, and they have a boat that can only fit 2 people.
However, just as they are about to get into the boat, they are greeted by 4 cannibals. The cannibals will allow them to cross, but state that “If at any point in time, there are (strictly) more cannibals on one side of the river than anthropologists, then the cannibals will eat all of the anthropologists on that side.”
What is the most number of anthropologists that can get across the river?
Note: We do not care about the number of cannibals that can get across.
Someone will need to row the boat back.
All 8 people are able to row the boat individually.
Include embarking/disembarking considerations. If you have 2 anthropologists rowing towards 3 cannibals, then no matter what, the 2 anthropologists will be eaten.
Re: Logic Quiz
I can probably think of a way to move 3 anthro. to the other side - struggling to move all 4
Trip 1 - 1 c , 1 a. ( A comes back) so ends have 1 c and 3c , 4 a
Trip 2 - 2 c ( 1 c comes back) so ends have 2c and 2c , 4a
Trip 3 - 2 a travel ( 1c, 1a come back) so ends have 1c ,1a and 3c,3a
Trip 4 - 2 a travel so the other end has 3 a
Re: Logic Quiz
It highly possible chest B. Am I right?

It highly possible chest B. Am I right?
You are right but that quiz was solved a while back.
@bitter solved the latest as well with good explanation so I don't need to repeat that.
Will post another one shortly.
Re: Logic Quiz
Here is a warm up quiz. A really easy one for those who have been active in this thread earlier.
A mad scientist lined up Andy, Brandy, Candy and Dandy in a row (in that order), such that each of them could see the others in front of them but not those who are behind. Andy is able to see everyone else while Dandy cannot see anyone. The mad scientist declares:
"There is a red hat, a blue hat, a white hat, and another hat that is either red, blue or white. I will place them on your heads, so that you can't see the color of your own hat. However, you can see the hat color of anyone in front of you."
Starting from the back (Andy first), he asked them each in turn what the color of their hats were. To his surprise, they all were able to correctly deduce the color of their hats based on the responses that they heard.
Which 2 people had the same color hats?
Re: Logic Quiz
Dandy and candy have same colour hat.
Re: Logic Quiz
Suppose there are two red color hats, if Andy has blue, Brandy can see red colour hats of Dandy and Candy, only white color hat is left for him. How my friend, where is my hat :)

Regrouping the gang. @Southie @KKF @Enchanting Rose @Sentry @HKHamzaKhan93 @Monk @Tahurra @MustafaQuraishi @bitter @OYMWA @mahool @psyah @TLK @lander @us1415 and anyone else who is interested in mobilizing some brain cells :cheer:
You gotta luv quizzes :smokin:
Re: Logic Quiz
Too early in the day, in the week and in the month to be exercising those brain cells. As Monday mornings usually go, things are falling apart, the world is ending, its been raining since Saturday evening and its not gonna end till tomorrow afternoon, Cowboys offense is in shambles, New York teams just managed to lose games they should have won ( Harvey, listen to your coaches, they know better and sit out the 9th… idiot! )
Anyways, Anjul is right.. the last two, C & D should have the same colored hat.
Re: Logic Quiz
Bhut mushkil quiz hai..jab asan ayega tu ill definitely answer inshaAllah
Mujhe bilkul na phly wala samjh aya tha yeh quiz @Eastern_Dresses. Or na yeh..though i wrote this one in copy and tried to solve it…kaun si application hy..completely unknown to me
Re: Logic Quiz
Sigh.. Dont even get me started on this.. ![]()
Re: Logic Quiz
Suppose there are two red color hats, if Andy has blue, Brandy can see red colour hats of Dandy and Candy, only white color hat is left for him. How my friend, where is my hat :)
Now in question, **Starting from the back (Andy first), he asked them each in turn what the color of their hats were. To his surprise, they all were able to correctly deduce the color of their hats based on the responses that they heard.
**How can Candy can say that he is wearing a red when we can see only "Dandy's" hat (which according to your answer is red). Your answer make sense if we take out the line that "When Andy asked, everyone answered what cat they are wearing" ...
Hypothetically lets say your answer is right
Bandy saw that C, D is wearing "same color". Now B doesn't know what A is wearing, so he can't say with certainity if he is wearing red/blue.
Probably I am over-thinking
Re: Logic Quiz
@MustafaQuraishi they can hear each other.
