With this new explanation. My answer would be 27. Earlier, I was assuming that the slow person will just stop at interval and wait for the torch to be brought back on the bridge.
Anyway, this one is easier to explain. Here is the explanation for my answer
A and B go to the other side with the torch - Time 4 min
A returns with the torch - Time 3 min
C and D go to the other side with the torch - Time 12 min
B returns with the torch - Time 4 min
A and B go to the other side with the torch - Time 4 min
Total time - 27 min
Ouch. I think you are correct! Clever. (Or I am dumb)
Alright, I will try to be very detailed about this quiz this time so that there is no room left for any “assumptions”.
There is a blind guy in the middle of a stranded island (probably an MH370 survivor ). Anyways, He has 4 pills with him. 2 are red and 2 are blue. His doctor prescribed him that he has to take 1 pill of each color each day. He can’t take same color pills on the same day otherwise he will die. So what he needs to do is to eat 1 blue pill and 1 red pill at day 1. Then 1 blue pill and 1 red pill on day 2.
The guy is blind. He can’t tell which pill is which one.
There is no other means where he can get an extra pill.
There is no other person, or an intelligent being who can tell which pill he is taking.
OTHER THAN LOGIC/HIS CALCULATION there is no other way he can solve this problem.
The pills are identical in shape, size, texture and whatever you can think about it. i.e., you can’t differentiate between different color of pills by just touching them
I hope there are no assumptions or unanswered questions left in this question.
^ I have no idea where ours went, but that's a sarota - used to crack beetlenuts or better known as chaaliya (mixed in paan or saunf). I used to be terrified of chopping off a finger when I used it - but use it, I did! Used on this part of the world as a nutcracker.
LOL! It was because of my nani that I even know what it is. She had a proper paan-daan and was like literally addicted to her paan. I remember enjoying preparing her paan with khattha, choona, tambaaku, chaliyaa and saunf in it.
Not giving any ideas, but it does look like a primitive torture tool.
Paandaans came in all kinds of designs. And then there would be a matching ughaaldaans. We used to call it zardah instead of tambakku. Not sure if there is a technical difference between the two ( paging @KKF )
