The fact is people perceive Muslims as intolerant of others. They think that we react to any criticism of Islam with violence and intolerance. I guess we proved them wrong…This is exactly how Christians used to be. If they can ignore the constant jokes about the Pope, Jesus, and their religion in general, then we need to learn to do so as well. Have you considered the fact that there are people who are agnostic/atheist, and while they are perfectly willing to let you practice your religion, they are not going to follow the orders of any religion just because something is offensive.

I’ll say it again. If it’s offensive, don’t go looking for it. Do you think this movie is the only thing on the internet that’s offensive to Islam?

Right, because the political and legal sh*t storm that would ensue from a President forcing a company to cater to the whims of people from another country, is totally worth it. Please come back to the real world. This is a non-issue.

I just googled and found a website that’s highly offensive to Muslims; it criticizes the Prophet. If I post the link, will that be your next crusade? Don’t you have anything better to do?

I sought it out and watched a few minutes of it, but then I stopped it and went somewhere else on the net … I agree with what you say. I still however, find it inappropriate not to speak against it. Our silence may be dangerous for weaker Muslims, and may be a meter for the unIslamic elements to gauge how faithful we remain to our cause. To a certain degree we have given it more fame to another degree the makers knew we would so they did it intentionally.
