Living in a non-Muslim Country can be seen as a test of faith

Feelings are mutual matey, I don't like the idea of my neighbours smelling of masaladosa/amla/heeng..

I think I understand a bit more now about your dilemmas with "integration", confuzz....college is tough when you're Muslim and the majority of others are not. Still, there ARE nice people, nice clubs to join etc where pubs arent involved. When you get a bit older and are out in the white-collar world, it is QUITE acceptable to go out after work and have pepsi, no one minds because its more about "hanging out" than it is about "lets all get blasted" yeah? Most times when I've gone out with colleagues it wasnt even a "pub", it was restaurant. Also with maturity comes more respect of opposite sex...you will no longer see the back seat slobbery that goes on in college years. Also, you might be surprised at how many people would really like to know you, your culture and customs and your food....invite a nice western classmate out sometime and I think you'd be pleasantly surprised and you'd be enriching the life of a westerner - when I experienced Pakistani food, I was just transported it was so delicious.

Last, just wanted to tell you....if you find bacon to smell a bit tempting...most grocery stores carry kosher turkey bacon. Its really delicious! And its ok for Muslims to eat kosher foods.

PS the arses who made you eat ham should be horsewhipped. You could go to your college administrators and lodge a complaint (which I doubt you'd do) but that was just really and truly an awful thing to do. You have my sincerest apologies on their behalf for their ignorant nastiness.

aww man ur such a sweet heart.. don't apologise, their actions are not your fault.. it's me who should be apologising for judging people as a group rather than as individuals.. and i'm sorry about the badtameezi (bad manners) yesterday, your ciriticisms were quite legit, i feel like poop now..

thanks for the turkey bacon suggestion, sounds nice, i've had soya bacon bits but not turkey, there's a kosher butchers on my way into town, i might drop in when i go for clothes shopping tomorrow (seen some cool linen pants in River Island, will come in handy in Pak, I can't stand shalwar kameez).

Paki Pride... if I had to grade this essay, I would give you a big, fat F!

The grammer, the obvious cut and paste job, the pacing, conclusion .. pretty much everything is awful.

Folks gave you good points and you have made an unappetising kichdi out of it all.

Besides which are you not supposed to do the work yourself.. for that alone I would give you an F.

Are you sure you are in the 10th grade in the UK? Or year 10 whatever that is! Dude, you have some serious catching up to do!
