Living abroad ,I miss Pakistan so much ..Do you?

Asalam o alaikum,

I don’t live in Pakistan but I missed so much living there. Specially Ramadan and Eid are the days I want to spend in Pakistan .
What you miss the most about Pakistan after living abroad?

I miss Pakistan too but on Occasions obviously. Ramadan and Eid can never be better anywhere else than my home country. I love the spiritual feeling and all that Taraveeh Voices coming from loud speakers of Mosques, I loved having eid shopping during Ramadan specially at night after iftar (Not during the taaq raats obviously because I do ibadaat in that). Some of the people I know used to have shopping two months back from Ramadan explaining that during the Holy Month they rises the prices which is definitely true but still, even then, I loved to do my eid shopping during Ramadan…uska aik alag hi maza hay… I loved how we sisters used to ask each other…“tum kaun se siparay p ho” and then… telling them… “main to tumse aagay hoon” … I remember preparing iftari for the entire family and drinking tea after namaz-e-maghrib… I loved everything about Ramadan and Eid and any occasions in Pakistan…except Bakra Eid :cb: mujhay zibah honay ke baad jo mahol main ajeeb hiddat aajati hay aur smell aati hay uss se kuch hota hay… :bummer: so I guess…bakra eid main me yaheen theek hun… Pakistan main proper eid gaahen honi chahye hain…they don’t care about that and almost at every street you see a lot of mess :frowning: which is not even hygienically good!! hmmmmmmmmmmm…

Where are you based now ?

Re: Living abroad ,I miss Pakistan so much ..Do you?

Its really awful to live away from your home.I dont get how people live happily away form home, I can never ever. The longest time I stayed away from Pakistan was 5 months, it was horrible, I rushed back.Nothing is like Lahore, May it be London, Vegas or where soever.Home is where you are not scared of anybody.

There was a thread opened last year, by Rangoli I believe, about what you like or miss about Pakistan.
It was a long and fun thread.

Mostly about food though. :hehe:
