Yes I miss Pakistan.
I miss my village i miss the smell of bazaar.
I miss the sound pollution and traffic.
I miss all that because its so easy to miss something when everything is perfect.
But I miss Pakistan regardless of all the problems.

Re: Living abroad ,I miss Pakistan so much ..Do you?
haha I know this is going to sound very silly but I miss bakra/bari eid the most. Every year, my dad took my brother and I to bakra mandi atleast 2 weeks before eid and we always got three goats so my brother and I got to pick those out. We would always pick the cute little ones and my dad would yell at us going iska ghosht kaun khaye ga..lol! And then those next two weeks..we wouldn't leave their side. We would feed them ghaas phoos, sometimes our own khana, candies, and just play with them all day long. We gave them names too like tiger for the aggressive one and kachwa for the slow one, badbu man for the smelly one LOL. I wish I could go back to those care free innocent days of childhood! Ahhh...homesick!!!
Living abroad ,I miss Pakistan so much ..Do you?
Well I didn't grow up in Pakistan nor was born there. But visited Karachi every yr to visit grandparents. Miss it a lot. It's been 7 yr since I went back! The azaan, the ppl, the bazaars, Eids. My own people! I wonder how ill like it if I go back again. IA soon but no plans for the next couple

** “East or West home is the best.”**It’s really difficult to live away from your home. I don’t know how people live happily away from home, I can never ever. A man cannot be comfortable in other country.

Re: Living abroad ,I miss Pakistan so much ..Do you?
I, too, miss Pakistan, more specifically Isb and Pindi, where I am from. However, I have noticed something about myself and believe it to be true for most human beings; the fact that we humans tend to have nostalgia about the past, in most cases, and we tend to associate the sentiments of a certain time period in our lives with the place rather than the people. I think if you take away the people from the equation then we will not feel the same way about that particular city, village, country etc.
I will share a personal example: The first time I visited Pakistan after going overseas, I missed it terribly and found everything the same as I had left it, so going overseas again was difficult. The second time I visited none of the people I knew (friends, family members etc) were there, which changed my perception and the longing was not the same. Now I have family/friends/loved ones here and the feeling of belonging is associated with where I live now.
I guess my point is that, home is where the heart(loved ones) is.
