They probably said this before the protestors' attack on parliament.
No one attacked the Parliament it all happened bc of shelling from all sides. Protestors ran Into Parliament just to save themselves.

It was actually the army that allowed protesters especially women and wounded to use the parliament lawn to help them escape further attack. I love how these born again lovers of pseudo democracy of Sharif family trying to paint Parliament as some King's palace where damned 'plebs' cannot even dare enter. So much for being 'people's parliament' eh?

They can demand whatever they want as long as they’re not attacking the police and the buildings. The legality of these type of protests depends very much on their violent or peaceful nature. I’m sure you agree with this…any sane person would.

I think MQM demand is not justifiable. I do not know why they are giving such statements, but maybe they are feeling threatened by daily increase in PTI popularity, or there could be other reasons that are not obvious.
Anyhow, whatever Imran is demanding is justified. It is right of people to make government leave office (not resign but leave office) if they are occupying office due to rigging. Precedent is protest against Bhutto (1977) forcing him to call for re-election. Though martial law followed, but if not, then there would have been re-election.
To rule through election is not right but privilege, and that happens with consent of all political parties and people at large, who accept that election was free and fair. Recent example is Afghanistan, where losing candidate did not accepted the election as free and fair, hence recounting and auditing of election is happening.
As far as 2013 election in Pakistan, all political parties, TV channels monitoring the election, political analysts, TV anchors, almost everyone says that it was not free nor it was fair. Hence 2013 Pakistan election was invalid, and people holding office due to that election are holding their offices wrongly.
Situation can be corrected in two ways.
1: complete or partial auditing of the votes in constituencies, so that some credibility can be given to the election and all parties start accepting it as free and fair.
2: Re-election.

khan jee had a golden chance to do so much for the country by getting us electoral reforms and an independent election commission but zid and ego of this man got us nothing and destroyed him as well…kayaa karien oopar walay kee yaahiee amrziee thee…

As per IK and TuQ's logic, kisi bhi mukhalif party kay banday key chitar prade jaiz hay balkay, sunat-e-Imran khan hay.
Issi liya, ab jahaan kaheeN koy PTI ka banda nazar aye, uss key khoob tawazeh karaiN... specially police... ta'akay yeh log khawab maiN bhi police ko daikhain tu daR jayaiN.
IK and TuQ have set some very wrong precedents in this long march... and the only way to set these precedent as failed experience is political death of IK... and for that SMQ is being prepared and shall soon be replace the current cocaine addict...

I doubt they would have been attacked had they not tried to crossed boundaries and disobeyed the law. Police are supposed to oversee those laws and anyone trying to circumvent them is asking for a beating. Its how every society functions. In the US, protestors are tightly controlled and anyone going beyond the boundaries is likely to be arrested. And if they resist or pose a threat, as was the case with PTI/PAT protestors, then they are likely to meet with force.
No country in their right mind would let a mob of protestors near govt institutions. Just because you vote, doesn't mean you have a right to storm the parliament. The "peoples parliament" is for ELECTED members of govt who represent the people, not stomping grounds for a rabid bunch of ideologically confused protestors/rioters.
What your advocating for is a violent revolution, not a peaceful demonstration of ones democratic rights.
