You are right ... we should move forward and hope that future be good, and we see no more mega corrupt thugs in power again. Well, not even children of mega corrupts ... like Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz, and so on.
But to get any good, it could not happen through election and parliament (as election can be rigged and parliament are full of corrupts who may not survive free and fair election). What Imran and TUQ is doing, I think that is the only solution ... but time would tell.
Bloodshed and civil war ... or ... peaceful transition, that is the only question.

Anyhow, what I know, on the floor of parliament, MQM was telling to NS that he should resign for the sake of stability. Probably, MQM is playing their role in way that 'kaam bhie ho jayea aur talkhee bhie na hou'. ... waisay ... I believe they have already showed their support to (PAT + PTI) demand, and they have already declared that if time would come, they are ready to resign from Parliament.

so today MQM leaders blasted PTI and Imran khan in national assembly......asking govt why Imran is not being tried under article 6 once he announced civil disobedience?...and had MQM announced civil disobedience, govt would have tried them right away ...also said that if PTI comes towards karachi, MQM will destroy PTI
