Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

We got billions and billions of dollars funds ... who said that? Radio Raiwand? :)

All records of what Pakistan got during those 8 years is present and that comes to around 10 billion dollars (8 years) plus Pakistan also paid interest on debt of over 20 billion dollars in those 8 years. So, in reality, total net dollars that came to (or went out from) Pakistan in loan as well as grants and coalition fund was in negative ... by huge margin ... could be over 10 billion dollars that Pakistan paid out then received.

if you have anything different than please give reliable source with figures.

Nepotism: If you think that Musharraf was doing nepotism, than let me know how many names of close relatives Musharraf appointed at high posts when in power?

As for rigging of election by Musharraf, then again it does not hold logic. If Musharraf was rigging then what stopped him to make PMLQ 70 percent of the NA seats?

Unfortunately they were short of many seats and then Patriots were created and other parties were made partners to form government. Is that what you call rigging?

If Musharraf was rigging, then how PMLQ lost the election in 2008 ... getting seats less than PPP as well as PMLN .. how come, was Musahrraf at that time not in power? ... If he was rigging then what stopped him making PMLQ and allies get again 70 percent of NA seats ... when they just got handful? ... Give me convincing answer and not ayee, bayee, shayee, so that I can acknowledge, correct myself, and appreciate.

As for drone attacks, from 2004 to early 2008 (through out when Musharraf was in power), we had around 10 drone attacks .. so why it went up when Musharraf was gone? it seems, Musharraf was resisting drone attacks as much as he can, but politicians pulled laid themselves in front of USA ... must be haddi that USA thrown to Pakistani poli-devil Thugs after 2008 election (who knows?)

What you say now... maybe for every extra drone attacks, corrupt politicians were getting paid by USA and that is why such attack kept on increasing during Zardari rule, and we also saw many drone attacks during Nawaz rule. Now what you say about that?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Living for almost 3 decades in Germany i use to listen to Radio on a daily basis and thus also about financial news … guess what i never ever heard/saw on National Radio/TV advertising to invest in Pakistan … But i heard this many times (to my complete and utter surprise) during Musharafs rule and when i speak to those who live in Pakistan (Villages/Cities) most of them still regard Musharafs Rule as something like an oasis in a harsh desert …

I don’t condone everything Musharaf did and for sure sure he had/has his shortcomings but what Sa1eem points out i can second and he for sure isn’t someone who looted the country like NS/SS/AAZ & Co. did/doing

So no comparison there

Apart from that I THINK Pakistan isn’t rife for the Democracy … not until the masses get to a certain degree of education in regard to tolerance, dialogue, respect rule of law etc. … In the current scenario only a strict/forced rule over a prolonged time (10-15 Years atleast) can get the desired result … Setting the course for a nation to flourish using the resources and talent it has in abundance may only possible if the above mentioned prerequisites are met and not under current socalled “Democracy”

The problem deep rooted and it needs the attention and treatment which is both painful and prolonged … A cancer that has taken hold of the body for 60 years can’t be removed e. g. that we change the Doctor/Medical Team every 5 years who actually feed this cancer to stay alive :smack:

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

and India is?

did they wait to put democracy on bench until they have eductaed masses?

India still has corruption, malawat, uneducated masses, load shedding....they also have family dynasty in form nehru family...they have most corrupt politicians... they have every problem that we have but no one ever questioned democracy

why? because the indian leadership knew that the democracy strengthens institutes...slowly but gradually, it gives you independent election commission, free supreme court, free media and more importantly a continued democracy assures continuity of the system which in turns let rest of the world trust in your country.

GE and Siemens will invest heavily in India because they know that a dictator will not come one nite, warp up the whole system to bring a new one...

GE/Siemens know that no one in india will block delhi for 3 weeks to wrap up the govt. They know that they can go to court to get heard if they are mistreated.

Personalities dont work, systems work. Now we have lost trust in Imran as well......what now? wait for a dictator? didn't we try bunch of them already? we as a nation are looking for short cuts..for miracles...

let democracy run....it will eventually root out PMLN if it does not perform just like it destroyed PPP but yes it will take time. We have free media, free judiciary and it is time to get free election commission and electoral reforms...we are a complicated society just like India...focus on strengthening institutions not worshiping personalities. It will be a long journey not a short ride

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

How do we have free judiciary? If the kind of judiciary we have in Pakistan can be called free, than I don't what unfree judiciary looks like!

Let's put things in perspective here!

the whole mess can be characterized as epic failure of the so called judiciary to take notice of the situation.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

PTI :check_mark: @PTIofficial Not a single person in this assembly raised issue of non-verifiable votes today, says Imran Khan

PTI :check_mark: @PTIofficial No democratic country in the world where in every constituency 60-70k votes are non-verifiable would accept such elections, says Imran Khan

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

GIVE you a convincing answer? who opted out NOT to answer anything above to others when it came to PTI/TUQ/PTT

Taliyaan…

For a mere general on a payroll…he is a billionaire… read again…BILLIONAIRE.
You havent even TRIED to answer any ONE of my points UP THERE…

How did Musharraf become a billionaire? - thenews.com.pk

Where is Musharraf’s secret stash? | Pakistan Today

Try this one for ur tea time please.

When I asked u of his properties in Dubai and Istanbul…why did u shurlee off the case?

Guess who is the CEO of one of the biggest construction companies in Mideast?

In his memoirs - In the Line of Fire - Musharraf admitted that he had come from a really humble background where they did not have enough money but NOW he pays at least half a million rupees as monthly salary to his personal staff residing inside Pakistan.

Plus u might wanna read ur mushi’s back page as well…

Then tell me, IS that guy worth even defending…?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Now, govt allies are asking to use force against PTI :(

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

PTI :check_mark: @PTIofficial PMLN was afraid of audit in 4 constituencies because investigation would have revealed the rigging done by them, says Imran Khan

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Imran’s 5 out of 6 demands are already met…I am not saying this..Arif Alvi and Asad omar said it publicly that govt has agreed to 90% of our demands including opening more 4 than constituencies for recount , forming a supreme court juidicial commision to investigate rigging, inducing new electoral reforms, forming independent election commission. laikan khan got stuck one one demand that PM resign karo

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I witnessed Rigging myself. Got to the polling station at 7:50.Took me over an hour to vote coz of the long queues. Virtually everyone voting for pti](https://twitter.com/hashtag/PTI?src=hash)

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

JH @#$%$ed things up. Now if TUQ quit. PTI have better chance to establish clear message again.
I still think TUQ is a bigger damage then JH.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Yaar PD u know what i mean ....

  1. Tell me how many relatives/friends have been put in powerful poistions by Modi and Co. ..... now ask urself the same about Pakistan
  2. Writ of State/Rule of Law .... sure India has its shortcoming in implementing but overall u don't see such a gundagardi of PPL in Power like it's in Pakistan in the last 2 decades .....
  3. No prolonged adventures in other countries
  4. Our Democracy doesn't strengthen institution but rather use them as ***** and them throw away

For me it all began when Bhutto started appeasing certain outfits to come/stay in power .... from there onwards it was steady decline

In comparison to the Democracy PPP/PMLN had to offer sofar i think the Military Rule was still better for the common man ......

What i mean with a strict/forced rule is to implement the rule of Law and have an entity whom everyone fears when it comes to check&balance ..... Why can everyone do what he/she likes and get away with it ..... simply becoz in the last few brief democracy periods there were no consequences for wrong doing ..... when during a socalled democratic rule politicians claim publicly that bribery is their god given right but still it doesn't provoke even a little protest let alone a small revolution

When the patient is almost brain dead, number of organs already dead/dysfunctional then the only sultion is to put it into an induced coma and revive it step by step but not by the those who caused it to be there in the first place ;)

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Well I think when you have resigned from Parliament and demanding new govt/elections, why worry about current ones?

Or wait, are they coming back to this parliament?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Public who are for entertainment would tune him out.
We would lose faith if he changed his stance.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Everyone keeps harping about system, system, system. Yes we get it, there must be democracy. PTI never opposed that system, after all this is that same system that gave them this huge vote bank and a government in KPK. So let's not distort facts.

Now that system is seemingly secured, and all those custodians of system have been exposed. Congratulations, country has found a new hero in Mullah Fazlu and Atackzai (sp). Now I am assuming these are the people you will now look up to and question if the system doesn't deliver. After all you need the people to run the system, right? (Or system will run on its own on Allah ke naam pe and on His will) So when are you asking the same parliament and the custodians of the system to pass a bills regarding rape, acid attack, hate crimes? When are you asking these paladins of system to eliminate corruption and challenge the PM for his own corruption? The system must work right, so let's see if I see tons of threads opened on Mullah Fazlu, PPP, MQM and everyone new favourite Nawaz family to ask why the system isn't delivering. Let's see if you question the system and the paladin of that system for not providing rights to the working class people, not allowing of family of victim to file a bloody FIR. Let's see if the question the system and its champions for inflation, mass unemployment, the widening divide between rich and the poor, an unequal distribution of the resources, health, education, human rights, security, environment etc

I am making this post on an assumption that the whole idea of system in that case doesn't mean holding periodic elections every five years while allowing every crime in between those five years. Though I won't be surprised.,
