Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I just heard asad umar's latest interview to nadee malik and asad confirmed in this interview what arif alvi and saad rafiq said this morning to mehar bokhari and I already wrote about it this morning that negotiation committees from both sides had fundamental agreement on 90% of the stuff that these are resolvable issues and that both parties can work out to finalize them....

what a bad luck...looks like we were close to having a resolution today. why are we so unlucky? Bhutto and opposition parties had finalized their negotiations in 1977 but zia toppled the govt that nite...now looks like PTI and PMLN were close to any agreement but PAT and Qadri destroyed everything.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

one more thing...asad said in the same interview that

***"when we came back from the PMLN meeting to meet Imran we all agreed to stay from PAT because there was a chance of violent situation. Imran also agreed.

Asad and SMQ then left for tv interviews. While they were gone, saif ullah niazi and jehangir tareen went to PAT to tell qadri that PTI will not join them. Qadri (i dont trust Qadri at all) assured PTI guys that there will be no violence, we will remain peaceful.

PTI leadership including Imran then decided that we shd not leave PAT alone as we are together for 17 days plus if PTI goes with PAT, the govt will not use force because PTI is in negotiation with govt"***

This is what Asad said live on Malik show...

i have failed to understand this logic. By asad umar's own admission, they were that close to finalizing the negotiations with PMLN. They just came back from a good healthy meeting with PMLN and then the next thing PTI did..well, they joined hands with PAT to march towards PM knowing it will rile up govt....what kind of gesture was that from PTI?

they trusted qadri and paid the price.

anyway...as i said what a bad luck for Pakistan...looks like we were close to having a resolution.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Imran khan has turned himself into a clown during the past 17 days, who is babbling things which he can't deliver. It's sad that he has put his and his party's credibility on the line in the process. Any gems for today, or is the cassette stuck on umpires finger?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Sheikh Rasheed is a better politician, I think even he is sensing that Pti has become a dead horse now therefore he is staying clear from them. Imran should now be tried under article 6.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

What more you expect from the follower of a 'Kazab' , Now he is a declared brother of the 'Kazab'

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

They are Indians so what do u expect especially with the Gujarati in power?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Article 6 how?

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Once we used to curse MQM, Pti has become a similar party with members beating up media persons and destroying public property(metro). Now where's the change? Imran khan acting like hitler? Hashmi had reservations with PMLN and they did sideline him but never fired him in this fashion. Even if by some miracle Imran is handed over the country I doubt he can complete his term.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Inciting his followers to carry out civil disobedience, sending money through illegal means, attempts to dislodge an elected government and attacking Parliament House. All are valid reasons.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

I thought article 6 was about subverting constitution like Musharraf did in coup. Otherwise noon league also attacked Supreme Court (symbol of federation?) and did long march against PPP. not to mention imran's martyrdom if it happens now.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Last month
, IK attacked
N$ , PML N , PPP . Mahmood Achakzai , Fazalurrahman , Jang/Geo , Judiciary , Election commission , Bureaucracy , many others

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Parties are not part of article 6.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Imran has tried everything in the book, the only thing that can happen now is ab impending suicide as his political career seems to have ended sadly.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Never count people out in Pakistani politics :D

Btw does that mean PPP is next up for the musical chair go around? Damn Zardari would get ever thin by doing nothing.

I do have to say that it is very dictatorial to fire javedhashmi if that is wHat is meant by parting ways. The true akhrot who caused political upheaval in cricket team in early eighties is back ? I wonder how niralas would justify any of imran's dictatorship.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

i don't understand why anyone would support NS who clearly has stolen the people's mandate. he has rigged the elections. he is NOT an elected PM.

he should step down voluntarily and call fresh elections. how can he govern the nation when he has lied in the parliament, tried to create wedge between army and the himself so he can become a political martyr and tried his best to stall investigation into rigging.

he is simply 'naa ahl' to lead the country.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

^ yes PPP strong contender now, thanks to Imran khan. It seems that despot his rhetoric he was there to make sure the status quo remains in the country. PPP and PMLN looking much better at the moment. Imran khan versus PPP, PMLN, MQM, anp, jui, judiciary, media and so on.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Imran should not have given deadlines to his people when he knew he could not force NS to resign. His cause was just, his intentions are not malicious however he is politically very naive. And this will cost him.

Re: Live Updates of Azadi March

Javed Hashmi is not as innocent as he sounds. he was present in the PTI's core committee meeting. he dissented but at the end he agreed. so, once he agreed to what the committee decided, he can not disown and go public in criticizing the decision of which he himself was a part.

i respected him a lot before but not anymore. he hides behind his so called 'principles' when the goin g gets tough and he desperately needs a way out.
