Timing is everything in politics. The timing of Javed Hashmi's decision to shame his own party pose a great question mark on his principles. While the entire media is covering police brutality and targeted witch-hunt hunt like attacks on the media by Punjab police. He comes out and washes his dirty laundry in the public, when the entire PTI leadership is stranded in a war-zone like area with their lives under severe danger. Suddenly, you see media especially government sponsored channel likes Geo discussing and running his press conference on loop and completely ignoring what's happening on the ground. He's a senior politician, he could've chosen a better way of making his concerns heard within the party or outside.
Besides, he has left the field without telling or confiding with anyone plenty of times, and every time PTI leadership went up to him and talked through with him. I think PTI has shown great patience with his flip flopping and mood swings. Maybe once this whole thing is over, one of them will sit down and set the record clear for the public.
1) we were negotiating with PMLN group last evening and we are very close to every demand other than PM resignation demand....in that meeting, PMLN group requested to us that PAT and its supporters have decided to march towards parliament and that its supporters have dandas, cutters, hammers and a crane and that PTI should stay away from it because if PAT crosses a certain threshold, state will react
2) we the PTI negotiation committee agreed with PMLN request and when we went back to imran khan sahib, we gave him same recommendation that PTI should stay away from PAT
so what happened? arif was against marching towards PM house, SMQ was against it, hashmi was aginst it....the what happened and why did imran change his mind
Arif Alvi should also be ready to listen 'aaj se aap ke aur mere raaste alag hai' and 'Arif Alvi ka tajzia ghalat hai'

If the protesters were armed & violent, the last 17 days wouldn’t have been peaceful. People were there with families. #IslamabadMassacre

I reached Pakistan last Sunday, and came to know followings:
1) To participate in this so-called Azadi march or Dharna or Inqilaab etc, they pay you Rs. 10,000/- per man and Rs. 13,500/- per woman. They take away the id cards of these people which they'll get back when the Dharna is officially over.
2) On top of above, People are provided with the breakfast, lunch and dinners, on Waqt News, when the tv guy asked one boy why he is here the boy replied for my lunch.
3) People in Lahore, specially in trade community are regretting that they even once backed IK, Traders in Fortress, Liberty, Hall Road and Business owners in Gulberg are particularly of this mind set ( one reason is because they have suffered from losses and/or have not been able to get the profit they were targeting)
4) The majority who is supporting IK is the youngs of ellite class who have nothing else to do otherwise, i mean do not have to be at any office or part of business activity since Papa is providing food at the table and paying all bills.
5) One wonders who is paying this huge bills of dharna?
Nonsense. My own family, men, women, old ones and friends were at dharna for days. And guess what.....not one got paid.

Oh we are back to "paid protestors" argument now.
I guess someone needs to release a "PTI FAQ on Azadi March" to answer all these questions. It seems everyone now and then someone here comes and post the same old "facts"
did anyone listen to saad rafique (PMLN) and arif alvi (PTI) on mehar bukhari show? it was such a civilized debate from both sides..i wish we had this culture more pronounced
Same Saad Rafiq:
'Qadri sahib aain toh sahi waapis, iin ko woh sabak dein ge ke waapis nahi aain ge kabhi'

It’s a great opportunity for haters to score points off IK. Almost fashionable to be anti-IK. Underlying issues remain.#IslamabadMassacre
Imran should have taken whatever he got from the recent negotiations. The five points that the government had agreed to should have been implemented time bound. I don't know who is pushing Imran to a dead end. Imran is coming out as a dangerous person (split personality) who cannot be trusted to hold sensitive positions. He can now forget becoming the prime minister of the country. If the army intervenes that would be for implementation of martial law and not for handing the government to pti.
Agreed, he should have taken that esp. after the COAS assured him that a judicial commission would be formed to investigate election-rigging allegations. IK missed a good opportunity there. I am not sure who is advising IK. When you have firebrand like Shireen Mazari, who like to blame everything on conspiracy, advising you it does not really help.
or is it IK's big ego that's preventing him from making sane decisions I wonder!
