It is absolutely heartening to see such overwhelming and productive participation of women in this March. As a strong advocate of Women’s Rights, I don’t think I can express my delight enough. You have women of all ages, class and professions, local or those who have travelled many miles taking place in this political activism epic proportion. I see young college girls, I see mothers with young children, I see middle aged women all gathered for Pakistan and their rights. Seven days of hardship yet nothing is working to break the collective spirit of these women.

For a second I don’t want to think about Imran or PTI’s future, but I sincerely hope and pray that this episode manages to generate a much needed Women’s Movement in the country to finally fight the gross gender inequalities and injustices against women in Pakistan. If PTI survives, then this should certainly be the next episode of their political activism. I would personally write letters to likes of Fauzia Kasuri if I have to.
