Re: List your planned purchases!
^That looks pretty nice MWH, I think I wouldn't mind trying something like that out. Only thing is, seems a bit too shimmery for everyday wear for someone like me. Hmmm

Re: List your planned purchases!
Here is what I’ve gotten so far:
I had been collecting everything in a box so once everything arrived I could take pictures ![]()

I love Hello Kitty (ahem) so I got 2 mirrors and 2 of the body splashes (Sephora)

Kevyun Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer (it’s the most potent foundation I have ever seen. You can sheer it out to use as a foundation or use as is for spot concealing or for under eyes. One dab could cover half your face. It’s kinda expensive but it goes a LONG way. I use the shade SX 06 and I’m NC20-25 in MAC). On the other side is a highlighter in Candlelight, it’s gorgeous! Shimmer-free and buttery-smooth, it looks like taut fresh skin once applied. LOVE! (Beauty.com)

MAC things. Since I love Hello Kitty, I was super-annoyed having missed the 2008 collection. I have all the cheek stuff from the Hello Kitty collection but wanted to get 1 of 2 quads, and I managed to get one! Then there is MAC Vanilla pigment (my backup jar. I like these older/bigger jars. You get almost double the product (7.5g) and since I use Vanilla pigment as a highlighter, I like the bigger jars since the brush can go in perfect), a #214 brush to smudge liner and a Mega Metal Eyeshadow in Peek-at-You.

Guerlain Meteorite Pearls (limited-edition Butterfly ones. These are the jumbo ones. They are bigger than the regular ones, see this)

Random stuff: perfume, Laura Mercier blush/bronzer duo, a shower gel from Sephora and a Konjac sponge for cleansing.

Lip stuff

LipFusion gloss, Femme Couture gloss, Guerlain Chamade and Hourglass Fresco. (I’m in LOVE with these 2 lippes). Oh and there is also a lip balm from The Body Shop.

Chantecaille Tiger in the Wild Palette (it was Limited Edition and I think it’s going off the Chantecaille site soon) I also collect makeup which has South Asian symbols like tigers, peacocks and elephants etc so I had to have this.
It’s my first “luxe” palette and aside from how gorgeous it is, it is AMAZING quality. I mean, look at how gorgeous it is. The amount of product you get is a lot too. The palette next to is a Wet ‘n’ Wild 6-pan in “Vanity”, also very amazing. I’m a fan of WnW shadows in general.

Samples with purchases etc.

Not pictured: Heroine Make KissMe Mascara remover. It’s formulated to even remove Japanese waterproof mascaras (which are serious industrial-strength) and this company (Heroine Make) is also Japan-based and they have mascaras as well. Anyways, I’m really happy to finally have a fool-proof method of removing waterproof mascara since using harsh removers or oils was making me lose lashes in the process.

I thought that too but after trying the samples, it has no shimmer in it! It just is a universally flattering shade which should work for anyone under NC35. I love adding a bit to my cheeks, collarbone, and I even add some under my blush to make it less flat. I'm almost done w/ the sample so I'll be buying a full bottle. The 20% is also a factor, lol.
Re: List your planned purchases!
M_was_here, OMG:biggthumb:, you must have one awesomely well paying job to be able to afford that much stuff and of brands that i have never heard of(sound french so must be quite up there in terms of price). i am totally envious right now cuz i only have an entry level IT job but i’m so drooling over all that yummy stuff. i’m picturing myself opening all those packages that you got drool
Re: List your planned purchases!
LOL! Actually, I don’t work. >.< I have a monthly budget of $50 set aside for makeup (my parents are kinda’ supportive of my makeup hobby, lol!), and since I’m moving to KSA soon I’m trying to buy whatever I need before I move since they don’t have many brands available there. Also, i didn’t buy everything at once. It was spread over 4-5 weeks. ![]()
Re: List your planned purchases!
i wanna seeee how you look and how you utilize the makeup.
Re: List your planned purchases!

Re: List your planned purchases!
M, great stuff! Have you used the Guerlain Meteorite Pearls as of yet? Does it provide a glow? I have heard these are not super pigmented, but I have been really waiting to get my hands on this. Was wondering what do you think about it?

I have used it and I use it like a finishing powder because it has a satin finish. If I apply it heavily, it makes a great highlighter but it doesn't have the same impact an actual highlighter has. This isn't glittery or shimmery so it just has a pearly-ness to it. And it also depends on which one you get, the limited-edition ones are different from the three which are a part of their permanent collection. I'm not sure how different those three are from the one I have since I've never tried them beside these. Did you try going to a Sephora near you to check them out? Guerlain comes out w/ 1-2 a year, they're releasing new ones in the Summer for their Pucci collection.
Re: List your planned purchases!
^ Nopes haven’t looked at any of the LE ones. Only swatched the ones from their permanent line. Maybe I will make a trip and check this one out. I want something that has a satin-y finish, so this should be good for me. Thanks so much :), will check it out. ![]()
Re: List your planned purchases!
^Definitely swirl some on a brush and see how it looks. I hear the ones from the permanent ones are a bit more for highlighting but I could be totally wrong. When you swatch them, they seem quite frosty/glittery but that is diffused completely once they are applied w/ a brush so the ones from the perm. line may be exactly what you're looking for. Also, Sephora will be having a Friends & Family sale where they have 15% to 20% off, they have the 15% in April and the 20% in fall so could wait and get it then if you want it cheaper. Just a thought! :)
Re: List your planned purchases!
lol, hahaha.
anyways, i like you makeup =)

I so wanna see ur skillss tooo!!
Re: List your planned purchases!
I don’t have “mad skillz” but I do love makeup. I’m still practicing and trying to perfect eye makeup but I notice things don’t photograph right or the color doesn’t get captured. It totally ruins the purpose then. I’m gonna try using a DSLR instead and see how that works. I also heard peeling a tissue and putting one layer over the flash helps. I haven’t tried it but it sounds interesting. ![]()
